Sundial Beach Resort & Spa

The hotel itself was decent. The rooms were beautiful… however, our room was full of bugs. The bugs were so bad we could barely sleep at night. There were not only ants but no-seeums in our room and beds. I understand Sanibel is on a preserve, but to have bugs in your bed is a bit much.

We went to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary. Our place was clean and beautifully decorated, the kitchen was fully equipped. We enjoyed the free omelet station. The staff was helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the condo association was doing work to our building and the last day we were there the jackhammer noise made staying in the room unbearable. A crane knocked a hole in the ceiling of the patio, knocking plaster and cement all over the chairs and floor. We had no use of the patio the last day, we were afraid more might fall.

There for our daughter's wedding. Everyone was very accommodating plenty of activities to keep us entertained. Banquet staff handled most of the wedding reception very well with just a few minor hiccups. Only problem with our room and one other of my families room was the inch worms on our floors.

Beautiful property with many amenities. Great food and friendly staff. Adorable shell bag gift in the room. Clean beach with tons of shells and sea life. Kids enjoyed the slide and pool. Pizza and ice cream delicious.

Excellent activities, great breakfast, great location, very nice staff.Great free bikes and wonderful location to ride the bikes with great kayaks, also free, paddle boarding also include. The room were very nice with everything you need to prepare meals

Beautiful beach resort!! Would definitely return. Condo was clean, spacious- beautifully decorated with wonderful beach view. Nice pools, poolside bar, beach chairs and umbrellas. Loved the pickleball courts and open play!!

We always enjoy the Sundial Beach Resort. September during the week is a great time of year for Florida residents! Registered for the Florida resident’s package that included the breakfast buffet that had ample selections as well as an omelet station. The “resort fee” is $55 per day which is quite high given that we only used the kayaks once and nothing else. Used the condo pool rather than the resort pool which can be quite noisy. Unit assignment is at check-in. Our unit had a great view but only a queen bed - would have preferred a king. Unit was well-appointed. Staff is great and accommodating. Next trip we’ll look into a VRBO rental and avoid the resort fee and high rental cost.

Air conditioning was not working. We could not sleep.

The main pool was closed the entire stay at the resort. The apartment couch was infested with fleas or some type of non-visible insect. Our exposed skin was bitten and burned like crazy. Recommend you fumigate your apartment upon checking-in. Air conditioner worked great.
