Lovely characterful building and gardens, nicely furnished in keeping with the building. Good quality food and drink.

Bathroom was very small. I'm 6'6" and it was a bit of a struggle to fit in

We liked the room, the Inn and the location.

The breakfast could have been better, particularly the cooking of the eggs. The megrim sole on the first night was exceptionally well cooked and presented.

It’s such a charming and beautiful old English Inn. Food is exceptional, staff lovely, rooms lovely and comfortable. So welcoming to our dogs who loved a mn early morning romp around the Norman castle grounds next door!

"Excellent cosy stay"

The room was incredible - so cosy and clean and just perfect. The shower in particular was so good. The pub had a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious. Great location especially for walking the granite way!

Nothing I didn't like.
