The atmosphere,the food and the service.

Service, food, facilities and atmosphere were are all brilliant! Room was incredibly warm and cosy with lots of space and a lovely balcony to step out to for some fresh air or, in our case, snow! Dinner was delicious, service was very quick and the warm fire and candles made everything very cosy and intimate- perfect anniversary environment.

The bathroom wasn't completely clean (body hair on the shower tiles and bath tub) and low pressure shower which kept flipping from really hot to cold.

We had a wonderful stay! The setting and room were absolutely lovely, and the food was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. The cozy pub atmosphere was perfect for relaxing after a long day. Highly recommend!"

The castle Inn is in a unique location and met all our expectations our room was extremely comfortable, we enjoyed a great dinner with family and the bar and restaurants had a good atmosphere including open fires, the staff were friendly and helpful too. The location is adjacent to a historical site (castle literally next door) as well as the famous Lydford Gorge and is a good starting point for some great Dartmoor walking too
