Castle Inn

The food, beer and staff were exceptional. The location was excellent. We were well looked after.

The rooms could have been a little larger - but that's looking for a "didn't like"; the overall balance was exceptional.

The pub is fabulous . Really olde worlde. Very worm and quirky . It was lovely

The bedroom number 4 was terrible . Very very basic . Wood chip on the walls . Tiny TV that had 11 channels no BBC 1/2 and no access to Netflix etc. also we slept in two single beds joined together with sewerage head boards one of which was collapsing down the wall . Really dreadful . You could hear people walking up and down the corridor , very loudly and they only supplied 2 (!) tea bags . For £140 even with the breakfast and location it was not worth this much money .

Very high quality food, cooked exactly as requested and very good value. Very attentive staff who without exception did their best to make our stay enjoyable.

Really friendly and welcoming staff. Great food and beer in the restaurant. Fresh milk delivered to the room in the morning for tea and coffee.

We loved everything about our stay, the room was perfect, comfy bed, lovely cosy decor, the pub itself is beautiful and we had excellent food and service the whole time. Alex who served us our meal and drinks on the Saturday evening and who checked us out when we left is a credit to the place. What a lovely guy. I didn't catch anybody else's name but everyone we met were super friendly and welcoming. We felt very at home. Can't wait to come back!
