Quality Inn Port Clinton Waterfront

Staff very friendly. Coffee machine out of order. Breakfast was awful. Carpets in room were stained and filthy. My husband's socks were black from walking on the carpet in the room. Beds very hard and uncomfortable.

Pool overlooking lake and proximity to area attractions was great.

Room was dirty and poorly maintained--hair and blackened grout in tub, carpet not cut or attached to floor, broken safety lock on door. Internet went out second day and never came back. While at the pool one evening, no one's keycards worked to reenter the hotel. When several of us called the front desk, the phone was answered and then immediatelyhung up. The same thing happened the following morning trying to call the desk from our room. There were lots of seasonal staff (many very nice) who appeared to be poorly trained. The overall problem here seems to be management--a lack of attention to staff training and monitoring of cleanliness, safety, and communication. I won't stay there again, and will carefully look at reviews before booking other Quality Inn properties.

The hotel blew up my phone halfway through my stay, claiming I was late to check out and demanding that I check out immediately. Upon arrival back to the property, they said they had me in the wrong room, only to have me pack my things and try to put me in a room that was not cleaned after the previous tenants. I was eventually allowed to stay in my own room after almost an hour of back and forth with staff.

Awful! Opened the door to our room to the smell of cigarette smoke. Bathroom sink had crack in it, and the hot that we wanted to relax in so badly... nope not getting in that dirty thing not even to shower in the morning. We had the clerk come to our room to see how awful it smelled and all she did was spray deodorizer. Rooms are nonrefundable because they know people would leave if they have a choice. Actually might just take a loss and not stay the second night just so we don't have to sleep in this room another night. Next complaint going to the Better Business Bureau

The three rooms we had were infested with bed bugs and other insects. The carpets were stained and all floors were filthy. We all had to leave and get accommodations elsewhere with no refund! Don't stay there without a spacesuit!

Place didn’t appear clean. Floors felt gross. Breakfast food was cold. Front desk wasn’t very engaging. Power jets in tub had pink mold. Coffee was awful. View of lake was blocked by overgrown plant life Bed was comfortable. Sheets and pillows were nice. Parking was convenient.

Smelled like smoke. Bugs in room.

The location was perfect for us because it was very close to the fishing charter that we used for a few days.

The hotel and room were not clean. Our shower had dirty footprints and soap scum. I went to the front desk to get cleaning supplies and cleaned the bathroom. The carpet had not been vacuumed.

Room had some odor and pieces had pieces of cereal from previous guests in some spots. HVAC worked well and room stocked
