Location was excellent between Grass Market and Royal Mile. Kitchen was very modern and had everything you needed. Perfect studio for two people. View of castle and lovely inner courtyard was extremely nice and quiet.

Overall this was a lovely studio apartment so nothing to complain about. Would be great if the shower had a bit more water pressure but electric showers are tricky.

If anyone wants to experience the best of Edinburgh, stay here. This flat is located right at the foot of Edinburgh castle & in the heart of Edinburgh. The Royal Mile is only a few steps away. This charming flat should not be taken at face value. It may look dated but it’s well kept. I find the reminders/labels in the flat absolutely helpful & I appreciate the care & their attention to detail. I also appreciate the property manager’s prompt responses to my inquiries & the helpful tips doled out during our stay. I did my research prior to coming to Edinburgh but nothing beats a local’s tips. A caution to future guests: pack light. You will have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the flat. Also, the nearest a cabbie/Uber driver could drop you is in front of Apex hotel which is across the street from Grassmarket.

The heating was temperamental and we couldn't get it working most of the time. But it wasn't ever so cold that it was unbearable.
