Taj Campton Place

An excellent place to stay close to Union Square and can walk to many places nearby. Very good large rooms and excellent spread of food, breakfast including Indian food. The chef Mr Thomas , Mr Abhishek Gaurav in the restaurant, Steve Miller at Concierge, Ms Soukania Rachki at Reception and General Manager Mr Pulkesin Mohan need special mention for their personal care and service.

This is an old and tired property in desperate need of a uplift and renovation. We were not told at the time of booking that our room type did not have a union square view. We did not get a higher floor although we booked months in advance. The beds were old spring beds and very uncomfortable. The furniture was outdated and had stains on them. The stand up shower backed up with soap and water. Lighting is very low. On the plus side the housekeeping service was great. The neighborhood is decent in the heart of Union Square although there were homeless on Campton place and Sutter street smelled of urine. Terrible service at the restaurant on property. Definitely not befitting of the Taj brand and most definitely not a 5 star hotel. Its a 3.5 to 4 (maybe) star hotel at best.

Good location. The staff was wonderful. We especially enjoyed visiting with David, our bartender. The room was very comfortable

Wonderful hotel. My favorite one in Union Square. What makes this hotel stand out is the staff. They are always so welcoming and friendly. The restaurant is top-notch. And the rooms are very clean and spacious. I stay here every year and look forward to returning each time.

The hotel is very Cozy, rooms are quite large for Downtown SF. But the best thing about this hotel is the amazing staff! very helpful and attentive to guests' needs. You guys rock!

Staff was friendly and the check-in was smooth. Good place, good food and a good stay to relax and enjoy the downtown area when in SF. Would definitely return back.

Very nice room. Excellent friendly service. Room was serviced three times a day. The hotel had its own restaurant, but there are good eateries all around the area.

My experience was very good. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. The hotel ataff is very accommodating and will try to help as much as they can. Their restaurant is great. I had some dietary restrictions and they tried helping me out with different options that were not on the menu so that I can eat.
