Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria

We had a drink on the terrace at this stunning hotel overlooking the Sorrento port. It's a beautiful spot to have a drink and enjoy the scenery. The drinks were expensive, $19 euro's for a small glass of wine, but to be expected for an establishment of this quality and location.

Dear Mr. Guido Fiorentino, We are writing to express our profound gratitude for an absolutely spectacular stay at your magnificent Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria from July 23rd to 26th, in Room 143. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was exceptional, setting the tone for a truly memorable experience. We were especially touched by the thoughtful detail of the welcome wine; its full body and lingering finish were truly delightful. The signature family recipe "gelatina" was also a wonderful touch, a testament to the rich heritage and continuous care your family has poured into the hotel for six generations. We were genuinely sad that we couldn't take any with us due to airline carry-on weight restrictions. Every aspect of our stay underscored why your hotel is a Leading Hotel of the World. The engaging and pleasant service from the restaurant team on the evening of the 23rd—Vincenzo, Giovanni, and another young gentleman whose name escapes us—was outstanding. Similarly, the elegance of our room attendant and the attentive service from Giuseppe at breakfast were exemplary. Indeed, every staff member we encountered contributed to an atmosphere of unparalleled luxury and genuine warmth. As a minor note for future consideration, purely for personal preference, we would greatly appreciate softer, more plush bedding, including a more cushioned mattress, softer pillows, and perhaps even softer sheets. This is a small detail that in no way diminishes our overwhelmingly positive experience. Thank you once again for providing such a refined and welcoming sanctuary. This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in some amazing hotels previously. Everything was just perfect. I did have a problem with our room but this was dealt with promptly.The views were spectacular but what sets this hotel apart from any other hotel was the staff . Nothing was too much trouble. I couldn't single one person out because they were all amazing. The position of the hotel is also exceptional. In the heart of Sorrento but it's so quiet and tranquil . I really recommend eating in the L'Orangerie restaurant.

Fantastic hotel in the perfect location. Our room had a huge balcony overlooking the sea which was incredible. Staff is warm and welcoming. The grounds and pool are beautiful. Just a wonderful property and HIGHLY recommended!

We've stayed at some nice hotels in the past, but this one surpassed them all. From the individual attention at check in, to the personal tour, to the upgrade to a suite, it couldn't have been more perfect.
