Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria

My wife and I had cocktails on the veranda overlooking the Bay of Naples just before and during sunset. We were lucky that the guard at the beginning of the long walkway from the Piazza Tasso let us by since we did not have a reservation and were not staying at the hotel. I ordered the Viandante sul mare di nebbia - quite possibly the best cocktail I have ever had!! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her drink as well.

Stunning hotel. The room was wonderfully decorated, the view from our terrace was lovely. Lucky us to not only have a view of the gardens, but also a side view of the sea. The eye to detail and service was Prim' ordine! Everything from check in to check out was perfezione!

I am very particular about hotels...ambiance, cleanliness, hotel grounds, and views are a big deal. This was the perfect place to stay. We had a beautiful room with a terrace overlooking Naples bay. The concierge was fantastic and set us up with dinners and a private driver to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. I loved the location. It was in the heart of everything, but set back where it was nice and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again!

A wonderful weekend at the Excelsior Vittoria Hotel. Large spotlessly clean room, excellent central location, beautiful grounds, lovely food and great staff. Close to perfection. We hope to be able to return very soon.

Hotel is in a safe, prime location to walk to shops and restaurants. It sits on the cliff overlooking the water and the hotel has a private lift to get to/from the marina. The property is lined with lemon trees, beautiful shrubbery and is an oasis. Hotel is gorgeous, impeccably clean, and extremely well-maintained. Hotel has an historical, elegant ambiance but with fully modern amenities. We had adequate lighting in the room, plenty of outlets for electronics, and high-end linens. Housekeeping was excellent and provided nightly turn-down service. In-room fridge is stocked with a variety of beverages that are all free (part of resort fee) and replenished daily. Staff are friendly, warm and very service-oriented. Truly 5-star service and amenities. Breakfast buffet was delicious, had tons of cold items but was limited in terms of hot dishes. Room service menu is very expensive and a bit limited. There is a complimentary golf cart shuttle that will take guests to the train station or nearby street upon request. Our single complaint is that the wi-fi did not work well in the bedroom area of our jr suite but was fine in the rest of the room. Hotel was truly wonderful and we cannot wait to return here.

You’ll love this hotel! They upgraded my husband and I upon realizing it was our honeymoon, and the Pompeii suite they provided was next level (two balconies, two bathrooms and living rooms etc). Aside from that incredibly generous upgrade, we also loved the breakfasts, and the dining experience at terrazza bosquet was INSANE. My husband and I had many Michelin dining experiences on the Amalfi coast during our trip and this place was by far the best on the Coast (we’ve even rated it up there with The French Laundry in Napa). For us, Terrazza Bosquet “made” the trip. Overall would highly recommend this hotel and their dining options.

I’ve stayed in the George V in Paris but the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria is better! The staff is attentive and friendly, the facilities are impeccable, and the views are spectacular. The concierge staff did a great job organizing our day trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Capri.

I cannot say enough about this hotel. The room with terrace was beautiful. The staff was amazing! The location was perfect!

The hotel is an oasis in a very busy area. It is set back from the main street, high above the bay. An elevator gives you easy access to the small beach in front of the hotel as well as the marina. The rooms are beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable. The rooms are quiet, the staff is lovely. We highly recommend!

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Everything about the property, staff and accommodations are pure luxury. The rooms are incredible with stunning views. The beds and sheets are so comfortable. The rooms extremely clean. The gardens and flowers are stunning. The building has several beautiful rooms to sit and read. The breakfast buffet is the best I have experienced. They have everything you could possibly want plus a piano player playing lovely music. If you have a chance to stay at this hotel, DO IT!! I am dreaming of when I can visit again.
