Four Points by Sheraton Juneau

4 star price with 1 star service and property. Check in staff not helpful. Need better system for check in. Room tired and dated. Some garbage on floor from prior guest.

Great location

Location with large windows overlooking the water.

No breakfast on site.

Large window overlooking the port, was a wonderful view of float planes taking off, and watching the cruise ships.

Property is tired. Staff was friendly and the room was clean but dated.

We stayed here because it was directly across the street from our cruise embarkation. Easy to walk anywhere in town. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Hotel was very clean. We stayed one night on either end of our cruise. The first night there was a problem with the boiler, so the shower was luke warm at best. Second night it was rather warm in the room and there is no AC. Sleeping with the window open made it bearable.

The hotel room was filthly and they never refreshed room even when you asked First day went to take a shower and there where no towels in the room. The ice bucket smelled of urine. Completely dated, doors made of cheap material. The lifht switches where filthy with black mold I live in NYC and that price point I would have stayed in beautiful hotel

Clean and unremarkable,a bit older, but beds were fine and it was clean. No on site breakfast. Parking super convenient.

Hotel is on the older side but very clean. Not open for breakfast, but they give you a paper bag with a water bottle and some snacks at check in. Juneau is so small that any location is a good one, and I found the bed comfortable. Updated furnishings, tech and a full service restaurant would improve the experience, but I managed just fine. My only real complaint were all the homeless people who stand outside the door and immediately panhandle as soon as you walk outside… not sure if the hotel can fix this or not, just a sign of the times.

I guess my expectations were high for a $300+ per night hotel in a state capital that is also a beautiful tourist destination, but it IS branded as a Four Points, not a Ritz. I will say that the location of the property is good; it's a short walk to downtown coffee shops and a few restaurants, the cruise ship pier, state office buildings, bus terminal, etc. It's right across the street from the water, the parking was free and convenient, and there is a mail box in the covered drive up area in front of the hotel entrance. The employees were nice and the rollaway we requested was in our room and ready when we checked in. As for my disappointments, the heat in our 2nd floor room didn't seem to work well (it was below freezing in January, so I set the thermostat for 76-80, but the actual temperature in the room remained at 71 during our entire stay -- felt like 61; I slept wearing my sweatshirt). The hotel had no private business area for our 0600 conference call, the sports restaurant/bar next to the lobby is apparently not affiliated with the hotel and was not open for breakfast, we did not receive maid service for any of the four days/nights that we were there, and the water in the shower/tub was lukewarm three of the four mornings that we were there. I'm just surprised/sorry that there is not a single property in the Hilton family in the entire area/region to give this "Four Points by Sheraton" (Marriott family) a little competitive spirit so they might up their game a bit.
