The Condado Plaza Hotel

Having spent 2 nights at the Hilton Condado Plaza Hotel I can honestly say it is by far the worst Hilton my partner and I have ever stayed in. We have travelled extensively both for pleasure and business across all hotels in the Hilton group. This hotel is in bad need of maintenance if not an extensive renovation. There are far too many issues to list but it is clear that there is a lack of general maintenace to the fabric of the building most notably the exterior. One of the lifts was out of order for the duration of our stay and checking the hotel reviews this seems to have been the case for many months. The room we had, albeit a free upgrade as a Hilton Honors Gold Member, was extremely disappointing - stained sofas, curtains that weren't wide enough to fully close, a power socket on the bathroom wall coming off, a greasy slippy film throughout the tiled floors, and the room not being serviced to name but a few issues. Overall thoroughly disappointed and not what we have come to expect from Hilton Group Hotels.

Really hoped for a better experience here being a prime time location in Puerto Rico, but there’s too much that needs to be addressed. I’m a hotel manager myself in a different state, and Puerto Rican, so this was disappointing. Bellmen Staff 5/5 ***** Ricardo was fantastic. Definition of hospitality and was a gem. Same with a gentlemen whose name started with an E when we first arrived. Entertainment 5/5 ***** Daniela on piano was amazing! Front Desk 2/5 ** Daisy needs training. My reservation stated 12PM checkout via Priceline. Daisy: “unfortunately your checkout is 11am.” Sentences should never start with “unfortunately” at a hotel that is supposed to going for a luxury experience. The hotel itself sets up their Priceline listing, so the hotel is responsible for incorrect information. Management needs to honor their listing information, correct, and train staff to communicate better. She didn’t even attempt to make an exception. Maintenance 1/5 The building is in shambles all over. Much improvement is needed here. Personally will not be returning.

Strategically located on the beach front . Walking towards Old San Juan is like 3 miles . Can take ride share at a very very great deal compared to the mainland Reason why I gave 5 Star ? The people works here compensate the minor problems I encountered. Kimberly the Front Desk lady was very welcoming on my first day . Made sure I get the same room as I made 2 reservations for 2 nights .one day per reservation. Next day I encountered minor problem which they resolved fast . Lilian the front desk person was very understanding and help me resolved the issue. Ramon the service person who help me fix the lock at my room was there fast The hotel is on the Older side . Needs a little updating. What makes a great hotel are the people who extend extra mile for some issues they knew that could happened. I may have forgotten her name but the Lady Manager was there too extending to help.. Location Location and the people that works here make up for some issues .. I’ll be back for sure

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Condado Plaza Hotel, what a mistake it was. The hotel is totally outdated, elevators were not working and someone said elevators would not be fixed until March due to unavailability of parts; we as well as all guests had to use the service staff elevators which were dirty, slow and outdated too. Halls were dirty, front desk staff were not helpful and were unfriendly; our price which was over $300 included breakfast, but one had to walk across the street to another building for it; staff there were inefficient and unfriendly, we had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated and 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee because two urns were empty. We had to pay separately for parking. We'll never go back to this old hotel and don't recommend it.
