Davie School Inn

An exceptional stay in a unique inn! Lyle and Tammy were perfect hosts, and those breakfasts! Lyle cleared chairs from the gym (yes, there's an air-conditioned school gym) so that we could shoot hoops. We were upgraded at no extra cost to the gold suite from the yellow so that another party could have two beds. The yellow room would have been more than fine, but the gold was spectacular. Sadly, we arrived during a terrible heat wave. We still went on several morning hikes, including to the Pomona Natural Bridge, and in Giant City State Park. There will be much more to see and enjoy when we return.

One of the coolest and unique places we’ve stayed. It’s clean, quiet and the decor is perfect for this converted school. It felt like a slumber party in a classroom!

Lyle was a great host and we had a nice stay in the Green Suite. The room was very clean and had extra space to relax. The breakfast was excellent - Lyle offered a good variety of items and a generous portion to go along with the coffee in the room. Our room had good water pressure in the shower, the AC worked great and the bed was very comfortable.

A very unique place to stay, fun to look around at all the old school items!! The room was unique and very spacious.. great bed and hostess!!! Very walkable to restaurants and stores..

Such a unique venue.. we are in an old 3rd grad classroom!

The place iwas clean. The bed was comfy. The owners are so nice. Spacious rooms with chalkboards to write on. The breakfast was so good.

Highly recommend this charming bed and breakfast! The service was very responsive, the food excellent, the decor interesting and approachable. And don’t forget the great deck behind the gymnasium. The first night of our stay coincided with a band practicing for an upcoming performance so we had a private concert! The only downside was that the weather was extremely hot, so we weren’t able to fit in all the outdoor activities we’d been looking forward to. Well done, Lyle and Tammy! This B and B was my grade school from 70 years ago. All the decorations were from that era. What a Unique experience. Food was fantastic!

Vi fick ett trevligt mottagande av vår värd som även tipsade om saker att göra i området. En fantastisk frukost som serverades på rummet och en fin veranda där man kunde sitta och ta det lugnt. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta lite annorlunda boende.
