Very clean and the staff was so friendly!!!

The location is excellent, right across from Grant Park and close to everything downtown. The room was as clean as you’d expect for an older hotel, but it could use more care. I wasn’t expecting a castle or a modern vibe, just a little pride in upkeep. The biggest frustration was the deposit: I was told it would be $50, but they charged five times that, and staff refused to address it. They said I’d just have to wait for checkout to see the refund, which felt dismissive. Convenient spot, but poor service and sloppy standards took away from what could’ve been a solid stay

Room service took over 1 hour food wasn’t hot or fresh

Cool old hotel. Staff were good and helpful. I would love to have a Time Machine and go back 100 years and see what it was like then.

Love the elegant lobby. Rooms, hallways, etc are dated but you can still feel the glamor of the old days. Ice machine was broken. Front desk directed me to the bar where they were glad to give me all the ice I needed. My non-smoking room smelled slightly of smoke. Cleared quickly and did not bother me.

They have amazing service, the staff is very friendly. The food is good and it was just a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this hotel for families and single travelers. Just fantastic.

Walking distance to restaurants and the staff was very helpful. Your door men did an outstanding job and every one of them went out of their way to help.
