Hotel Triton Union Square San Francisco

Pros: Great location Hotel is kept up well for how old it is (minus all the dust on the tables in the room) The street noise is lower for being in downtown SF Cons: Hospitality service was horrible (very rude and all over the place) Front desk women lied about her name (confirmed when asking the next morning from other employees) I believe her real name is Sabah but who knows at this point but she said “Kamille” Was told to move my things from from the 7th floor to the 2nd after unpacking, due to the dog. They would not give us a new room until I showed my luggage out of the room. This was already in the reservation weeks ago... Asked for a late check out from her and was charged, just to come back with the room being closed and the key card not working, with my dog inside Breakfast was as good as Costco at best. Just grab and go muffins and such “Urban Amenity Fee” of $37 a night for poor wifi and cable connections. (Should be free in this day and age) 3 hours of a late check out for for $50 $65 for parking a night and $11.50 for a “parking text” Overall I will not stay here again.

The staff were really amazing. Tony, Rey and Saba. They were really personable, patient and understanding. Highly emotionally intelligent people who earned my trust and thsts what exceeded my expectations.

I didnt like booking through Expedia...it gave me problems ans won't lwt me extend my stay without adding a separate booking which caused a great deal of issues for me and charges to my card.

It was close to many restaurants

The girl at the reception was very rude and unwelcoming There was a bad odor in the hotel Air conditioning did not cool the room The restroom was VERY small There were many different surprise charges brought up during check in

Ray and Tony made my check in experience easy. They were very pleasant.

Location was good for us. The atmosphere was just ok. Our room was too small and crowded. Not such a great value once the daily resort fees are added. The room was clean but the bathroom door handle was broken, the air conditioner was too loud to use, the shower basin was slippery and dangerous and the water on the bathroom faucet only trickled out.

Location was great, right on Grant Av, by the entrance to China Town. I knew I'd have to pay extra for having the car garaged. I paid everything else online when I booked the place. I wasn't expecting the $45 or $50 fee on top of that. If it is part of the fee, have it paid when I book the room. I was very upset that this was added to the bill after I paid online. I would have booked another place. That would have put it over the top.

This place is very average and there are good and bad things that we experienced during our stay. The good, the location, comfortable bed, staff are friendly and there’s a free wine session mid-afternoon, which was nice. The bad, we got a lot of noise from outside, the hotel is very dated and the breakfast was pretty lousy. On the breakfast, there were apples, oranges and three types of pastries. Better than nothing but some yogurts and cereals would go a long way to making it better and getting people off to a healthier start to the day.

Stayed 3 nights and no one ever came to clean our room. Bathroom door handle was broken, room was very small and stuffy. They have down graded their 4pm happy hour and their contennintal breakfast to a grab and go. The shower basin are dangerously slippery. When I asked for a rubber bath matt they couldn't provide one. They charged a daily resort fee of over $200 for the 3 nights. We've stayed here the last 3 times we've come to San Francisco, with one of those times being my daughter's wedding, inwhich we booked a third of their rooms. Maybe the hotel is struggling financially? Anyway, I think this will be our last time staying here.

The room was small but clean. Unfortunately the in window HVAC unit was very loud which made watching TV and sleeping difficult. I found that I had to turn it off to do either. Not much interaction with staff as they directed me to self check in which I found unfriendly. The morning "breakfast" was nice as it consisted of danishes, fruit, juice and coffee. They have a nice feature of filtered water from a machine on the 6th floor. I do wish this feature was available on other floors so if on a lower floor like me one doesn't have to go up several floors to fill the provided carafe. The hotel is located close to Union Square, Chinatown and a quick walk to Northbeach and Fishermans Wharf. Also is close to Bart which give you access to San Francisco Airport.
