DoubleTree by Hilton Omaha Downtown

First time staying in downtown Omaha. A great weekend stay for a wedding. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Facilities and room were well done. And we took advantage of the hotel shuttle around the downtown for several trips. Highly recommend this hotel.

We were in town for a concert. I booked this hotel for the walkability, and for the great reviews. It lived up to the hype! Check-in was smooth, and Sarah was amazing! Even gave us warm cookies. Dennis drove us to the concert & picked us up, even though traffic was a MESS! The room was clean & comfortable. Will stay here again!

It was really nice to have the shuttle transport us down to restaurants and bars in the area.

This hotel is extremely clean. It is not a brand new hotel but it clearly has been renovated and updated with a microwave a Keurig and a refrigerator in the room. There is a large closet with hangers and mirror doors , there’s drawers to place clothes in and there’s a desk there with plenty of outlets and ports to plug in your computers your phones whatever you need to stay connected. The room has plenty of lighting so you can work comfortably and you can see what you’re doing. Many rooms don’t have a lot of lights and it’s frustrating when you can’t see what’s in your suitcase or what you’re doing. Hotel staff was great. Daniel was at the front desk at check in. Asked for some recommendations on the area places to eat things to do and he immediately had directions and knew times places were closing and opening and what most people find great in the area. Daniel also asked about dinner upon return as he was still on duty at that time. The next morning there was a great complementary breakfast fresh fruit with cantaloupe, pineapples, blueberries, oatmeal, coffee, bagels, toast, yogurt, and other fruit like oranges. It was also well stocked with a very pleasant young lady, tending to everything there. There is also a takeout food area where you can buy various sodas, waters, snacks, as well as toiletries, which is great if you’ve forgotten something such as hairspray or Tylenol or even tweezers, The fitness center was clean and actually no one was there when we used it so we had it all to ourselves. The machines worked well and there were also towels in there for you so you didn’t have to drag one from your room. Overall everyone encountered was friendly and welcoming. The hotel is extremely clean and the rooms had everything that you need including shampoo, body wash, conditioner, and face soap. Air conditioning worked well, and there was minimum noise even facing the street actually I don’t think much noise at all could be heard. The pillows were comfy and the beds although seemed firm allowed for a very great nights sleep. Overall great stay great experience.

Decided to stop by the Starbucks for a cup of Joe. Benita was very welcoming and friendly despite it being such an early morning. I had to put in a couple of orders and she was patient as everyone was deciding what they wanted to order. It was truly a great way to start the day!

(Names listed are those I interacted with.) I experienced the exceptional service that can ever be expected! Everyone was so very kind, aware, hospitable, willing to assist, professional, and much more. Each person operated as a unified team, and I felt so comforted. These attributes from each person heightened the comfort I needed during a time of grief due to the sudden loss of my eldest son. I returned home to Maryland feeling so much alive. I am more than sure that ALL staff are equally exceptional! Please to not hesitate to stay at this Doubletree. You will never be disappointed. Thank You!

The staff was very nice and helpful, especially Branisha. The hotel had a lot of people staying there, yet there was only 1 elevator in service the entire time we were at the hotel. We had long waits to go up and down. We had the room next to the elevator and it was loud causing difficulty sleeping. Our room did not have a good AC unit. It was hot in the room throughout our stay. The room also smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking floor. We only had hot water. We had no old water at the sink to brush our teeth and had to use the bottled water which I was charged for even though I am a Hilton honors member. Not a good experience at all.

This hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes from the Old Market and the airport. The rooms were large, but they felt dated. There was a vent in our ceiling that was hanging loosely, and not a lot of room in the bathroom. The highlight of this property was the shuttles! There were shuttles running to and from the airport and also one on weekend evenings to help you get around town. Special shoutout to Dennis, who gave us awesome recommendations and was an accommodating driver.
