The Nautical Beachfront Resort

The front desk staff was incredibly slow and incredibly rude. We checked in on 5/29. Awful. The restaurant staff ( inside the turtle grill ), bar staff and employees at the boat rentals were amazing. But the front desk staff was awful. Been coming here for 25 years. Dissapointed to see the front beach taken away for watercraft and the beach roped off for a water park. Should be at a more public place not a resort that people pay a lot for. Front desk lady said it's for the kids ... " don't you want them to have fun too ? ... well. So they get to go for free with our stay ? Nope. It's EXTRA. The old water parks at least gave resort guests an hour free each day. So it's not about the kids it's about more $$. The. She said she didn't want to discuss it any further...... First time in 25 years we didn't set up a day camp at the beach and had to go elsewhere. Sad. We won't go back.

The Turtle Grille was good, great service and good drinks.

Our beach room was next to kids who were partying until late night. We asked to be moved, but were told it wasn’t possible. Very disappointing, as we were there for two nights. They also wanted $75 a night to beach our boat; pretty steep considering the resort fees we paid.

It's a beautiful resort, however it needs some attention. The pool area was nice.

restrooms by the pool area was disturbingly dirty!! Most of the resort felt dirty and neglected. Our bedroom felt a bit outdated and dirty. There was a big dead cockroach in our bedroom under the desk and after 3 house keeping visits it was still there. the beds were not made during house keeping 😒 the outside of our unit was dirty and we found trash randomly all over the gras and beach area every morning. To the resorts credit, our AC unit in our room started making a horrible noise late one evening and after reporting it they swiftly replaced it the next morning.

People smoking cigarettes outside our room, The smoke was coming into our room through the AC. We left one day early. Could not take the smoke anymore.

The pool was beautiful. Having water bottles accessible at the pool was very nice.

The restaurant food was not very good. Signs all around saying not to be carrying your own alcohol was not very welcoming. The room given to us was in the old part and very dark.
