Good location

Was not aware that bands/music was played until 2am. Although it was in the order confirmation, I did not see this and was not made aware prior to making the booking. This is the fault of both the booking.com and the hotel.

Hotel staff were really friendly and central location near railway was perfect.

Hotel is on a busy road with single pane and metal windows very much of its age and possibly limited options to change but noise level was high late into the evening and first thing in the morning. Bed was a single as requested but must have had a thousand bodies in it over the years. Hotel was not busy but appeared with the choice of room provided that it didn't care enough to want me back. Presume it has been a good match re price and location for those on business over the years and target a particular unfussy client demographic that are used to living out of a suitcase / willing to put up with any bed for a night or two. It does not pretend to be anything else to be fair.

Ideal location for going into town and across the road from the town hall.

Room was pathetically small. Roof beam in middle of room too low for a 5’11” adult ( NOTE FOR HOTEL HAVING A SIGN SAYING LOW BEAM IS USELESS IN THE DARK) bed was uncomfortable cheap rubbish. Wardrobe was a rail behind a mirror which stored an ironing board - useless
