Goose & Twigs

We stayed Thursday night, September 21st for 1 night. Everything was closed up. We had to check into the room using a digital code, since the lobby was closed . The proprietors ran this hotel remotely. No dining or food service, the coffee shop was closed for the season, no lobby coffee since it is closed, no chair to sit on inthe room, rooms were not soundproof, I could hear the people next door talking and coughing.....not happy with this hotel at all for the price I paid. I want a refund!

Nice modern and clean close to everything! Wish it had a working ice machine and a full pop water machine on site! All in all it was a great place to stay!

Tiny room and bathroom. Advertised it’s great amenities and services—there are none. Door stuck and took lots of effort to open. Both remote controls had dead batteries. Only two thin towels. Shower floor was slick- almost fell multiple times. Shower curtain and base didn’t keep water in the shower. Definitely not worth over $200 per night. Only positive was it was located in downtown Sister Bay.

Hotel was off the main drag but still walkable to restaurants, beach and marina. The coffee shop was closed for the season but noticed they have a fire pit and outdoor seating which would be great to use on my next visit. Definitely will be staying here again.

Great location! A few areas would suggest some improvement! They have some nice places to sit outside to sit and have a drink but they do not have an ice machine available for guests. That should be a given that the property provides an ice machine. Second, no coffee offered in the room for guests. I get that they probably want guests to buy coffee at the little coffee shop they also run on the property but very limited hours, Sunday morning it said they opened at 8:00, no one was there. Last, the office has very limited hours in general. One other small item was the soap dispenser in the shower did not work, I would have gone to the office to ask for another bar of soap or have them fix it but again, office was closed. For the price per night the property charges, these should be staple items provided.

PROS: Right off the main drag of Sister Bay, so very convenient location. Clean, tasteful furnishings if a bit spartan, very comfortable beds, good shower/water pressure, cafe with lovely baristas and good food and coffee/tea (I will definitely take advantage of that in future..no wait) CONS: Another guest had to help me figure out which room I was in by guessing and how to get into said room. I had called with arrival time and the manager seemed in a hurry to get off the phone telling me my welcome e-mail had been sent. I didn't get it until 20 hours later for whatever reason. The room could have used a better lamp for reading. While beautiful, the bedside lamp was more for ambience. Would be perfect on the dresser. Could use towel racks by the sink. The high wall unit for A/C had a very bright light when the room was dark. I had to cover it with four layers of towel. Probably the worst part is that the walls are so thin that I could hear the conversations of the guests on both sides of my room. Some 3/4" drywall and insulation would have helped in the construction. Lastly, on Saturday a very loud and scary fire alarm went off for a good 10-15 minutes. As there was no one on the property I had to look up the number of the place and call it several times, but the connection was never clear. I ended up having to call 911, not knowing what else to do. I can say it's the only Inn I've ever gone to that has no assistance present. And no ice for my drink. :(

This was clean and quite. Would DEFINITELY stay again...5 ☆☆☆☆☆

It was a great stay. Very close to the bay and shops and restaurants. The place was very clean.
