The innkeepers were very welcoming and friendly. It was a beautiful view of the river and very peaceful. The antiques/decor were wonderful and the cabins had all the comforts of home. The air conditioner was a bit noisy and we would definitely prefer a king bed, but those are my only complaints.

We booked a weekend but had to cancel. We complied with the publishe cancellation policy, but the owner/operator refused to refund the $100.00 deposit and will not take our calls or answer emails. DO NOT patronize this business!

My husband and I stayed for one night for our 10 year anniversary. We really enjoyed how inviting it was. The owners were very friendly. The view of the river was absolutely beautiful. And the room was clean and it was in a quiet part of town. The breakfast Trisha made for us in the morning was absolutely delicious!

The view of the river is fantastic, the hosts were very nice and we enjoyed the homemade breakfast. but I'm not sure if we will come back here. There wasn't wifi in the cottage, the tv was small and up high on the wall, the towels were very scratchy, no sugar for coffee( only sweet and low packets )and dollar general store brand non-dairy creamer. The deck door also didn't have a curtain /drapes or blinds so that was a little awkward. We were charged a cleaning fee but noticed under the bed there were a lot of dust bunnies. TV and wifi are not a big deal since I can watch tv and use the internet at home but for $200/night, I think they could drive 30 minutes over to to Target in Washington to get some nicer towels along with single-serve coffee mate non-perishable creamers and real sugar packets.

This was a nice B&B for a getaway for the wife and I. Checkin/out was simple and the room was quite nice. The view was amazing and we were able to view some eagles and watch a towboat pushing barges up the river. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the total cost. Advertised as $175 but found for $162 on trip advisor. Was not told until checking in that there would be an additional $16 tax and $11 cleaning fee. I have never been charged either at a B&B in Missouri.

My wife and I needed a place to stay near Hermann, where we had planned to take in some of the Octoberfest celebration. The pictures online looked inviting so we thought we would give it a try. Our cottage was SO beautiful and well-appointed, with a view that can only fully be appreciated in person. Tom and Tricia were great hosts, and the breakfast was delicious. If you are thinking of staying in the area, STAY HERE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. You will love it!
