"Highly do NOT recommend this place."

Breakfast was good.

Hotels website and booking.com both list daily housekeeping as an amenity at this place but apparently that only applies if you call the night before and request house keeping, otherwise they don’t touch the rooms. There’s no signage of this in the lobby or rooms so that guests are aware. They do not answer the text line they insist you use to make requests nor fulfill requests made on it, additionally the rooms show signs of wear and tear such as torn up carpets, scratches and missing paint, etc. Went to get ice for the room and the ice machines on our floor and the one above us weren’t even plugged in, additionally multiple broken dryers in the laundry area. Has a business center that should have a computer and printer as advertised. No printer and the computer is just a monitor. No keyboard. Additionally the Wi-Fi is massively terrible it would disconnect out of nowhere. Take forever to reconnect. Etc. doors also do not lock to the outside (not just the lobby but all doors) allowing anyone to enter the building at any time with or without a hotel key.

Staff was insanely bad. Slow, had no clue, and overall in 20 mins process to check with no line, the person who checked me in managed to upset 4 clients.

"Very disappointed that I drove 6 hours and I had to pay extra on top of the room rate I paid for."

Based on the information that Booking.com had for my reservation pets were included in the rate that I booked for the room. Upon arrival and showing the desk a screen shot they said I still had to pay for my pets. I emailed the hotel 5 days prior to make sure I understood the policy, got no response back.

Nice location, breakfast was decent rooms are a good size and has all basic amenities.

Not the cleanest. I saw some tissues from previous guests in corners. The coffee bar wasn’t fully stocked and the packet of coffee sugars/cream was already open. Giant cob web in my room. Everything that needed to be clean was clean though.

"Not the best La Quinta"

Often my fellow road-trippers agree, La Quinta by Wyndham can be good or can be bad. I was not so crazy about the La Quinta Williamsburg Historic Area. We appreciated that they accepted our dog at $25 per night. (The acceptance of pets and price for pets is confusingly and varies by each La Quinta location. Our South RIchmond location the night before was $0) The first room we were assigned was not cleaned, and smelled of smoke, depsite the no smoking policy. The second room we were assigned flooded every time you flushed the toilet. See photos. We were told that it was all they had and they were sold out. We were eventually assigned room. Overall the hotel was clean, but floors and finishes and more were in disrepair here and there. What I didn't like the most: The wall of smoke from the smokers who regularly congregated around the front entrance. Security: the unattended and unsecured second entrance that allowed entrance to the hotel by anyome anytime.
