We loved our stay and felt very welcomed and just like at home from the beginning. Manilo was super attentive and gave us great tips where to go and what to see in Palermo and Sicily. The location of his apartment is very central yet quite calm during the night for Palermo standards since it's located in a side street. As many of the Sicilian houses, it is not the prettiest on the outside, but once you enter you are in the real palace :) If you like slow travel, history and family guesthouses, do not look elsewhere and book this one!

Wonderful B&B with walking distance to all main sightseeing highlights. The hosts Manlio and Manuela were very friendly and helpful with great insider tips. Definitely worth recommending.

Great location with characterful rooms and generous breakfast. Friendly host with useful local information. Various nice touches around the communal areas. Central location is ideal and close to the station re airport access.

Main exit to street had an "unusual" issue opening the door....a neighbour helped out but a fail safe exit button would be good.

Really great location. Felt privileged to stay where one family has lived for so many years. Manlio is on hand to help, provide advice and provide great coffee & breakfast. The decor is charming and everything Palermo has to offer is on yr doorstep.

Great host, original, 1700 Palazzo cosy place.in the ciy center. Close to Vuciria, railway-bus main station, shops, including Lidl. Walking distance everywhere.

The accommodation was easy to get to and perfectly placed for exploring old town Palermo. We stayed for a week and were very happy to have done so. The owners were very welcoming and provided useful information on places to see, eat and drink. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was delicious every morning, and Manilo keeps the place spotless. There are 70 steps to the door of the apartments, but it's worth it because once you've made it that far you enter an oasis of calm in the heart of the old city. Stepping out from the accommodation you find yourself on Via Divisi, with Via Roma to your right and Via Maqueda to the left, both bustling streets with plenty to offer. On our first evening the owners suggested crossing Via Roma and walking down Via Divisi towards (pedestrianised) Via Vittorio Emmanuele and that one piece of advice led us to what turned out to be our favourite area for wining and dining. We loved Palermo. We loved the accommodation, and we would return in a heartbeat.

I have never felt so at home in a B&B in my life. Beautiful room with a lovely view from the little balcony. Absolutely dreamy. Location is excellent and the host incredibly friendly and helpful. Can't wait to return!

We absolutely loved the location. As we approached the address we were wondering what was in store for us. We passed several bicycle shops (hence the name) in the locale along this street. But as we entered the street door into the enclosed courtyard... wow! History! A great building with plenty of history. We were met by a wonderful man, who apologised for his very fluent English. We apologised to him for our lack of Italian! He had a great sense of pride in the city, history and the building. He explained to us where to go, where to try, etc. Always spot on for us. There are two rooms in his building that he has guests in. We had the bedroom with separate bathroom; both spacious and lovely and clean. The other is en-suite. We had a small balcony to look out onto the street. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was great. Continental Breakfast was prepared for us as we were there by the host and there was a great selection of fruits, freshly bought pastries, breads, ham, cheese, yogurts, fruit juice. Best of all, the coffee he made us. There was one other guest whom we sat with at the one table in the kitchen area. Some people may like their privacy but we were all happy to chat away and share experiences, etc. The location was very central to where we needed to be as we walked everywhere. It was also a short walk from the railway station; ideal for getting there from the airport, and leaving towards Catania a few days later. All very walkable (certainly for us as 56 plus year olds) A lot of time has gone into making the place so homely with lots of fascinating decor. May not appeal to some people, but we loved it and would definitely stay there again.

For us, everything was perfect. Nothing we did not like.

Location. It was central, however, on a side street.

Many stairs, so don’t bring a too heavy suitcase maybe. But it’s always good with some exercise! And the stairs are wide, just many of them.
