⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4.5/5)
We recently stayed at Seda Residences Makati in their Two Bedroom Suite with Kitchenette and Living Area (1 King Bed and 2 Single Beds) as a family of five consisting of a senior citizen, three adults, and one child. Since we were traveling with different age groups, comfort and convenience were especially important to us. Thankfully, Seda delivered on both.
One of the highlights of our stay was celebrating my sister’s birthday. Prior to our arrival, I availed of their birthday package for an additional ₱1,500, and it ended up being one of the best decisions I made for the trip. The setup included balloons, a Happy Birthday banner, a towel cake, desserts, a small cake, and a larger cake. It looked beautiful when we walked into the room, and even better, everything tasted amazing. The cakes in particular were genuinely mind-blowing and quickly became a favorite among everyone in our group.
The suite itself was perfect for a family staycation. We had plenty of space to spread out, relax, and spend time together. We enjoyed takeout meals in the room, had movie marathons in the living area, and simply rested. We were lucky enough to catch Wicked and Wicked: For Good on HBO on Saturday night, which made for a fun family movie night.
One thing we particularly appreciated was how complete the room felt. We packed lightly and barely needed to worry about anything beyond our clothes and skincare products. The hotel provided toiletries, dishwashing liquid for the dishes we used, and even detergent for the in-room washer and dryer. Having laundry facilities inside the room was incredibly convenient, especially for a family.
We also enjoyed the amenities. The swimming pool was a hit, and the 24/7 gym was excellent. They even provide towels and drinking water for guests. Since the property is located right across Ayala Avenue, we were able to take advantage of Makati’s Car-Free Sunday and enjoy a morning walk before heading back to the hotel to use the gym.
Breakfast was another standout. We ate there on both mornings and appreciated that there was some variety between days. The first morning featured Japanese dishes while the second had Indian offerings, and both days consistently included Filipino and Western selections. The spread wasn’t overwhelming, but there was more than enough to enjoy a satisfying breakfast. A personal favorite was the hot chocolate. I first fell in love with Seda’s hot chocolate during a stay in Cebu, and I was delighted to find the exact same one here. I happily went back for refills both mornings.
The staff were accommodating throughout our stay. Since our reservation was for four adults, there were initially no extra toiletries prepared for our child. However, a quick call to housekeeping was all it took, and they promptly provided what we needed. One thing families with young children may want to note is that there were no kid-sized robes or slippers available during our stay, so bringing your own may be helpful.
Check-out was one of the fastest hotel check-outs I’ve ever experienced. I handed over the keycards, they confirmed my name, and I was done in less than a minute. Check-in, however, took over an hour because the room still needed final cleaning and inspection before turnover. While the wait was longer than expected, the hotel acknowledged the inconvenience and generously extended our stay with a late checkout, which we genuinely appreciated.
The location was another plus. There are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby, but honestly, we enjoyed the hotel’s amenities and the comfort of our suite so much that we barely felt the need to leave for malls or other attractions.
Overall, Seda Residences Makati provided a comfortable, convenient, and memorable stay for our family. Between the spacious suite, excellent breakfast, thoughtful birthday arrangement, accommodating staff, and well-maintained amenities, it’s a property we would gladly return to.
