Ramada by Wyndham Juneau

Great convenient location for exploring Juneau. The hotel itself leaves a lot to be desired considering the price relative to the surrounding hotels of similar quality. The manager at the front desk was not terribly welcoming and always seemed to have an attitude when approached with an inquiry. We lost hot water the only night we stayed there and were credited back $27. Would have loved to say stay here but definitely overpriced even if you get hot water. Not much options in Juneau so do your research!

The desk staff was welcoming and helpful.

This hotel is older and it shows. It's fairly convenient to the Uncruise dock, which was why we stayed here. However, my reservation apparently stated that I wanted a first floor room (I don't remember requesting that). We had to walk down a flight of stairs from the lobby to our room, which was basically in the basement. Worse yet, our window looked directly into a parking garage. We had to keep the curtain closed the entire time or risk people looking right into our room. This made the room dark and added to the basement/dungeon feel. We stayed out of the room as much as possible. On the plus side, the room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. And the staff allowed us to check in a couple hours early. Maybe a room on another level would have felt more welcoming.
