Property was very cute, comfortable and clean. Loved the ambiance, especially at night around the pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

We completely enjoyed our stay at the Hotel California. Even though we were checking in late, Misty greeted us personally and showed us to our room. The room was clean and comfortable. The next morning, Linda attended to our breakfast needs and provided us with information about the area. I will definitely stay there again.

Came for 2 nights, my husband‘s birthday/Christmas Eve & Christmas night, checked out on the 26th. When we arrived, Mike helped us get into our Casita room as we had our own entrance by the parking lot. We were excited to have our own BBQ on the patio as we were celebrating in making some tomahawks. The patio umbrella was already broken in one area upon arriving the on the 24th, 4pm & when we left, the cleaning crew tried to accuse us of breaking it. The lighting on the patio was dim, but we used a flashlight that we had brought to see the BBQ at night. One of the reasons we picked this hotel was for the hot tub which sadly the jets didn’t work. Also read in a previous review that the beds were comfortable, they were not/hard as a rock. I didn’t sleep much. The continental breakfast the 1st morning was good. The 2nd morning, they were out of cream cheese. The casita runs on its own hot water tank, which I later learned that 2 people cannot shower at the same time. The shower in the 2nd bathroom faucet wasn’t very strong. But the one in the master bathroom was amazing. There was some mold/dirt in the bottom of the closet door jam but I didn’t really use the closet. I did wish that they had some type of alarm clock in the bedroom or clock on any of the walls. Plus, it would’ve been nice to know that they didn’t have any USB outlets anywhere. I was happy my husband had brought some plug-in pieces in his truck, otherwise it would’ve made it impossible to charge my phone or watch. Super uneven amount of utensils, plates & bowls, & we had a hard time finding big bowls to make potatoes or large salads. dishwasher in the unit was used, but was the loudest one ever. The fridge freezer was large, but did not make its own ice nor could it dispense water. We got ice and water in the shared kitchen by the office. The round table in the dining room was uneven & wobbled when we ate at it. But overall, it has a cute environment, the staff was pleasant, we had a good time. We would like to come back and maybe try the townhouse. I did send an email to the staff, but never heard back from them on recommendations on how to make it better for others.

We were in town for the film festival. The hotel is Spanish style. I would guess there are 20 rooms. Our room was stocked with Soda, chips and cookies. They offer a free breakfast but it consists of some packaged bagels, muffins and coffee. We decided to have our breakfasts elsewhere. When we returned at 9 pm we noticed our room wasn’t made up. We went downstairs to speak with the night manager. He said they were unusually busy that day and the staff didn’t get around to making up our room. He said he would notify housekeeping. The next day we returned and our room wasn’t made up again. Each time this happened we had to get our own fresh towels. The third day we returned to our room in the afternoon. It still hadn’t been made up. We intercepted the maid and got our towels and replenished our refreshments. So during our 4 night stay we never had our room made up. When we went to check out , there was a sign on the office desk that no one will be in the office that day. After we got home I received an email from the hotel asking how are stay was. I replied the situation with housekeeping. That was 5 days ago and I still haven’t heard from them. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Very private and quiet. Really pretty pool area. The staff and service was exceptional!

Our room was an apartment which was great but it was very dated. They are in the process of renovating rooms but ours wasn’t. Still comfortable but was expensive for that room.
