Enorme Maya Beach - Adults Only

I wanted to praise the hospitality, the food, the service of all the staff and the quality of the rooms. I must also thank andriauau's massage treatment. She took care of me beyond her operating hours and was very nice and kind. The way she performed the treatment, the special methods, was pleasant, fun and extremely professional! I left feeling liberated and relaxed and it was one of my best moments on vacation. My partner and I thank her for the treatment and highly recommend a unique experience at the hotel's spa. 10 nights at this brilliant hotel our second stay here and will not be the last. Katrina, Glada and the rest of the reception staff cannot do enough for you. The servers in both the buffet restaurant and the a la carte the same . so friendly and helpful it make your stay seem special for them as well as you. Michaela and Alexandrea in the bar need a special mention. everything and everyone at this hotel is so relaxing you cannot help but enjoy it The rooms are clean and tidy with everything you really need, the pool area again is cleaned daily and kept to a good standard. We were always out by the pool early and never had a problem getting a sunbed The food, breakfast was always a good selection but did tend to seem a bit samey by the end of the holiday. Dinner (this was a half board package) is a different theme every night though only a seven day rotation, but there was always a reasonable choice The one free A la Carte meal was a very restricted menu. perhaps the ability to pay a supplement for other dishes would make this a better experience. We have no complaints whatever about Crete or the hotel and cannot wait to return.

I had a massage with Kathy Adrianu and it was simply perfect. She was very pleasant from start to finish, I truly felt her professionalism, and I left feeling calmer and more relaxed than ever before. I will definitely come back here and for sure book another massage with her. I chose the full-body treatment. Beyond that, the hotel is beautiful, the food is of a very high standard, and the service is just amazing. I highly recommend it — and of course, don’t miss a massage with Kathy, it’s a must! Thank you.

Food was amazing along with super friendly staff,atmosphere lovely, clean and extremely relaxing, small Ala Carte menu, but perfect. Stumbled upon it, been going to Gouves for many years always thought it was privste hotel and not open to public, will definitely be going back.

We managed to find this place, without the need to stay in the hotel. Andrianou, was attentive, managed to help my back to untangle. Nice settings, nice facilities - well worth a visit

Back from a week here. We had such a relaxing time and it was just what we needed. In our opinion, as a Brit, this was not a 4* hotel to us. We loved Gouves, it’s not very big or lively but this is what we wanted. The hotel was in a great location - the nicer part to us when you turn right at the Church in front of the hotel. The hotel is small and this was great. The pool area was lovely and we didn’t have to be up at silly o’clock to get beds. The pool is not accessible though and we were shocked that there were only ladders into the pool - this could be problematic to some. Most of the beds are wooden with leather pads - extremely hot in the heat, although they look nice. There are a few older, more traditional beds which we preferred. There’s a few cats on site, one who has just had 5 kittens - this could be problematic in the near future. The staff were mostly really friendly except one lady who worked on the reception in an evening who was abrupt and didn’t get the 4* service you’d expect. The push button worked great by the pool to order drinks. We really enjoyed the food from the bar at the front at lunchtime and it’s a must to visit there for your 1 included a La carte! To us, the food at breakfast and evening meal was just ok. After 2 nights we decided to eat out and we’re so glad we did as there’s so many amazing local, traditional tavernas - don’t miss out! Breakfast doesn’t change, it’s well presented but the hot options just weren’t to our taste. A lovely atmosphere there though. Evening meal was a different theme each night. Our 2nd night was bbq but this definitely didn’t live up to expectation and was more American than bbq. No bbq in sight? We’d booked a sea view room and we have to say the photos of the hotel online are deceptive. In front of our room was a green space which looks like it used to be owed by this hotel but is now owned by next door. There’s a volleyball net which families were using. There’s then a road, then the sea. The main grounds of the hotel are beautiful but this area and an area at the back really need some attention. The gym was a waste of outdoor space and no one used it during our week, more beds could be there or the beds could be spread out more. The ‘spa’ is a wooden hut. Don’t like being pestered when relaxing on holiday to have a massage there. It would be great if the music could be turned off when not in use as it was hard to have this and the pool music at the same time. Our room was small and dark, one light in the bathroom. There’s only one door into the room and this is via the balcony. We had one small window in the room but we couldn’t open the curtain as it was onto next doors balcony! Bad design. Storage was the main problem, it was pretty much non-existent. We liked the overall decor of the hotel and it was the chilled vibe we wanted. We would definitely return to Gouves, so close to the airport (on the flight path) great tavernas and lovely local people. We would probably go b&b next time through. This is a long review but I wish we’d had more info before staying here.

There are pros and cons for this hotel. Pros - Staff are lovely....so friendly and helpful. Food is lovely and plentiful. Rooms are clean and tidy. Cons - We had a Seaview... but not as nice as the brochure shows. The gardens are OK...saw the gardener cutting the edges of grass with a knife. Grass areas were untidy apart from the drinks area facing the road.....surprisingly. The rooms are small and dark. 1 shaver light in the toilet. No extractor fan inToilet. Hence, it was always steamy after a shower.....Window opened slightly... but couldn't fully open to get rid of steam. The room let us down big time. Would not say it's a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is clean, relaxing and has everything you need, the staff are very friendly and the breakfast and dinner are delicious! It is on the coast so perfect for promenade walks! Mum and I visited the spa for a massage and would highly recommend it - Audrianoa was so lovely and her massages are perfection as they are so relaxing and got rid of all our knots! Thanks so much Audrianoa!

A lovely adults only hotel. The most relaxing holiday I've had. I love the set up of this hotel. It is groups of 2 story buildings with one up and one down rooms. So no noisy corridors with people going past late at night talking loudly. Your ground floor room opens up onto a decking area with a table and chairs and the upstairs rooms have a balcony. I had asked the travel company for a twin room, but ended up with a double as I went with my adult daughter. The bed was massive so we kept the room. I have read reviews that said the rooms were small, but our's was perfect for us. You also have the added table and chairs on your decked area. The food was delicious with themed nights for dinner. I think the Greek night was my favourite. You are also given one night for an a la carte meal in the bar overlooking the sea. That was also delicious and too much for me to eat all of it. There was live music that night which was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. You can get towels from reception to use in the pool which is very clean and never crouded. I booked 2 trips out, both through the tourism shop to the right when you go out of the back of the hotel. The sea at the back of the hotel is mostly rockyThe costs were very reasonable and more value than the Jet2 trips. The first trip was to Agios Nikolaos which is a nice town for shopping, then we went to an ex lepor island, Spinalonga on a boat. That was interesting and you get a guide who speaks your language. It's 20 euros each to go onto Spinalonga. Then we stopped for a swim on the way back, follwed by a barbecue which was a huge pork chop, salad and an orange. Fantastic Day The 2nd trip was to the Acqua park which was great fun. We had a whole day there and you had to buy your own food and drinks. They have lockers which cost 4.5 euros. The lunch there was fabulous with a vast choice and reasonable cost. I just laughed all day. The beach behind the hotel is mostly rocks, but if you turn right there are some sandy beach areas a short walk away. You have to pay for the sun beds. The sea is very clear. Totally fantastic holiday and would recommend flying with Jet"

had a fantastic massage today with Audrianou at the Enorme Maya Beach Hotel. She struck the perfect balance between relaxation and deep muscle relief, tailoring everything to my needs. I left feeling lighter, calmer, and completely tension-free — one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Highly recommended!
