A fantastic adults only venue to stay in Crete. I had a massage at the spa which was a great way to start my holiday and properly relax. The staff are lovely and friendly Highly recommended

We had an excellent holiday at Maya Beach. All staff were amazing, friendly and professional. Rooms were clean and comfortable, although our bathroom was cramped, however our daughter’s bath room was much better. We didn’t have a problem getting beds and there was availability until mid morning. We enjoyed the food and the service was fantastic. We could not fault the hotel a nice relaxed atmosphere. Gouves resort is quieter than we had hoped in terms of choice of bars, but that apart I would recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel as it looked very similar to Ananea More Meni beach we had stayed at in Kos last year and we’re pleased we did. Immaculate hotel with a really relaxed atmosphere. The staff are all excellent and can’t do enough to help you. We arrived just before midnight and were greeted with a complimentary drink each (beer and a wine) and a bag of food each which we thought was a really nice touch you don’t get everywhere. I’ve read lots of reviews on here complaining about sunbed reservations but we got up at 9am every morning in peak season and got two sun beds by the pool with no bother whatsoever. Not sure what people are classing as ‘early’ but if you expect to get sun beds in hotels at 11am or beyond that’s your problem not other people’s. You can order food and drinks directly to your sunbed with the push of a button and the staff work so hard to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. We’re not buffet eaters (and we prefer getting out and about every night on holidays) so we didn’t use the half board for her buffet but we did book the complimentary meal at the A la carte restaurant and we thought the food was of a great standard, make sure you use that booking when you’re here. The restaurant and bar are situated right in the sea front so you get some beautiful views. There is night life to be found in Gouves and though it’s not on your doorstep, it’s only a 15 minute walk down the road. Dizzy bar is open late (we were there till 2am one night and it was still busy when we left) and the staff there are great. We’d also recommend the Isla beach club for afternoon drinks with a beautiful view of the sea.

Clean room, very nice and helpful people, good food. But too warm period for me. And every day it's a struggle to find a shaded lounger by the pool. But yeah, I don't think that will ever change. Seperate from that, thank you Katherina for the 2 different kind of massage which gave me relaxation in the leg muscles. And also your advise was helpful.

We were looking for a place to stay to just chill and relax with everything on hand and that is what we got. We agree with the comments regarding the rooms being dark, which ours was, particularly the bathroom, it was however spotlessly clean. We never had a problem getting a sunbed, but we are early risers. We enjoyed the food on the whole. For breakfast there was everything you could possibly want. A couple of evenings the food wasn't to our taste (that is not to say there was anything wrong with it) so we ate out. The staff here are just wonderful, so helpful and kind. All in all we enjoyed our holiday.

My boyfriend and I arrived here at about 12 at night after a full day of travelling to be told there was an “technical difficulty” with our room and we had to come back in the morning for a different room. We got given a temporary small room in the hotel which was absolutely disgusting there were small ants all over the floor and the shower wasn’t working for a good 20 minutes. It was really poor after a full day of travelling all you want to do is just go to sleep in your own room. Never the less we sucked it up and went to reception early the next morning for our different room which still wasn’t ready and they said it wouldn’t be ready until 11am !! which ironically was the checkout time. So we suspect that they just overbooked people. We weren’t having it and we managed to get our own room at 10am. I’ve read lots of reviews about this happening to people so if you don’t want this problem I wouldn’t recommend. However our room once we got it, was absolutely STUNNING. It was just like the pictures however girlies the hairdryer is crap. I may as well have had someone blowing on on my head. The lighting in the bathroom was also very dark and poor. I couldn’t see much in the shower as it was very dark. We never had much trouble with getting sunbeds. There were some lovely ones on top of this little pool which were never occupied so we went on those everyday, however there wasn’t much shade there but we didn’t mind that. Wearing white or light coloured swimwear dyed all my bikinis so if you do choose to go here I wouldn’t bring light coloured swimwear. The food was okay. It wasn’t my favorite at all. We ate out most nights. However there was a restaurant which was included in our stay called the Ala Carte? It was absolutely SENSATIONAL. 5 courses of just amazing food. The pool bar food was also sensational but you had to pay for that…. After all the room issues our holiday was fantastic. It was our first holiday together. Such a lovely place filled with lovely people but a very quiet cute place.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The receptionist, waiters and masseuses are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We got a free room ugrade (we booked via Booking) and the room was big and cosy, the bed very comfortable. The two air conditioners worked perfectly, the temperature in the room was pleasant. The food was excellent. We loved the breakfast and dinner. The snacks we had in the afternoon were also very tasty. I had a neck-back-shoulder massage by Katarina, which was pleasant and soo good. My friend had the full body massage and was also satisfied. I definetly recommend getting a massage. 🌞

Excellent service - plenty of little gifts throughout your stay to pamper you. The therapist Katerina was amazing and kind - she made sure I could have my complementary message on the day - and it was great - highly recommend!
