Enorme Maya Beach - Adults Only

Absolutely lovely place with brilliant friendly and so helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. I am a early bird so if you want a bed beside the pool and early get up early is a must, we meet some really nice people on our trip to this resort I’m so glad we went when we did. Out of 7 night stay there was only once where the food wasn’t really to my taste which was international theme, all the other themes were good with good food and lots of choice. The hotel is out of the way of things but a short walk (15mins) your in a little town centre not massive amount there but nice when the suns gone down with a stroll along the seafront. Keep an eye on your tab if your ordering to your room when beside the pool a few people had receipts which wasn’t there’s, check the signatures on your receipts when you settle your bill. We didn’t have a problem personally. Room was fab just what we needed to be fair it’s just some where to get our head down and get clean. Highly recommend this hotel you won’t be disappointed with your stay. People with the negative reviews need to get out more. Snobs. The anfield bar just out side the hotel does some good cocktails and is a family friendly ran place, bloke in the supermarket next door to the bar is a funny guy. Him and his wife are happy to help.

Arrived just before midnight at the hotel and there was a problem with our room so had to stay at the hotel nextdoor (not great) for the first night so arrived back at the hotel in the morning,our room still not ready so waited in reception,not a great start to our holiday so far!! Finally our room was ready,it was behind the kids play area ( just in front of our hotel) I had seen other reviews that had mentioned this,so was a bit concerned,but that said yes the kids do make a noise and it is open late,but we were all kids once and it was nice to hear them enjoying themselves,so although it didn't bother us,I could see that it might others!! Once in the room,it was exactly as pictures show on internet,modern,clean,comfy bed, kettle 👍, all we would need for a week!! There are lots of hammocks about for you to chill in and also big bean bag chairs,which were very comfy! We were situated at the front of the hotel, facing the beach where the al la carte restaurant is,which has a few beds to layin in the daytime to sunbathe and chill etc,this is where you can also get drinks and food in the daytime!! The restaurant near the pool is where you go for breakfast and dinner,I am very fussy with food and thought breakfast was great but the evening buffet, wasn't to my taste but had quite a few great meals while there and always found something that I liked,they do a themed dinner every night!! We struggled to get round the pool and in fact only managed to get round the pool twice,once I did as everyone does and got up early to put towels out👎and another time it was quite alot later in the day and obviously alot of people had gone on to do other things,so get up early guys if you want a spot round the pool!! The one thing about this hotel is the staff, they are all really friendly and I'm sure they would rather not be at work,but that never shows,great work guys👍 Everything is very spread out in gouves,and although I looked on TripAdvisor for recommendations to local places to eat and drink, entertainment etc,it's very spread out and seems quite a walk anywhere, especially when it's so hot,maybe a problem if your not so good on your feet,it's definitely not a party place for younger people! Great supermarket about three shops away ,great guy and lady in there very friendly!! I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel,it is truly lovely,if you want somewhere modern,great staff, somewhere to chill and recharge your batteries then definitely give it a try,you won't be disappointed 👍 Entertainment twice while we were there,nans on with two girl singers were really good! Lots of cats everywhere,loved it, buying them treats etc,they are all so skinny but food and water left out at the hotel for them,so if you don't like cats,maybe not the place for you🐱!!

Had a lovely, relaxing massage with Katerina. The treatment area was private and calming, creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind. Katerina did an amazing job she worked out all my knots, and I left feeling completely relaxed. Highly recommend!

This was such a disappointment not only the hotel but the resort too. We arrived on the 30th June 2025 for an 11 night stay which we had booked through Jet2 Holidays. I had read the reviews on here which were all good and the description and photographs on the Jet2 website and the hotel website looked really good and seemed to be the kind of place we would stay - how wrong could we be. We arrived at the hotel and on first impressions it wasn't good, the hotel is on the edge of the resort on what only can be described as scrubland. We reserved judgement and headed into reception. the staff were pleasant and welcoming but that's where the positives end. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel and the photographs bear no resemblance to the reality. The issues we found were: Room I had booked a sea view suite having read the reviews on here saying the rooms were quite small. We were led towards a metal/glass door (Room 315) on the ground floor. On entering there was a very stark room with 2 single divan beds pushed up against the walls, with a few scatter cushions - this is clearly the hotels idea of this being the seating area of the suite - what a joke. We then continued past the bathroom into the main bedroom. The room was dark and dingy with no natural light - at this point there was no sea view. We were then led towards a single door that led out onto a path that was not even a meter wide which looked straight onto the room next door, we then were led around the building and told that this was the sea view!!!! The rooms they are badging as suites have clearly previously being used as family rooms and had a very cheap refurb with a coat of paint and a coffee machine. the room was oppressive and dark - my partner named it Alcatraz!!! It really did feel like a prison cell. There is nothing luxurious about this place. Bathroom I'm not sure where to start with this. The bathroom was literally 1 meter by 2 meters. There was absolutely no storage and when you sat on the toilet your knees went under the sink and you could have had a wash at the same time as sitting on the toilet - absolutely disgusting. When we showered that evening the whole bathroom flooded. The towels were cheap quality and small. There are no bathrobes or slippers which I would expect as standard items in a suite Hotel Grounds/Pool The pool area was cramped with the sunbeds butted up next to one another. The photographs of the pool show a spacious area - it is literally a third of the size in reality. The grounds were unkempt and there were cats everywhere. There was even a feeding station for cats. There were bean bags scattered around that the cats sat on and which looked dirty. Resort This is an awful resort, it's like a throwback from the 1970s. There is nothing pretty about this place. There are numerous shops/car rental places which have closed down and the buildings are just dilapidated. There is no beach to speak of and a handful of tavernas of varying quality - avoid Gouves at all cost We did request an alternative room but was informed none were available and advised to ask again the next day. Having seen the resort and the state of the hotel, we decided that this was not the place for us, we stayed 1 night and checked out and moved to an amazing hotel in Elounda with everything you would expect from an adult only hotel with suites and a beautiful resort. This is at best a 3 star hotel and has only achieved its 4 star status because it has a spa - it's false advertising and there has certainly been some clever marketing and photography for the website

Stayed here for 10 nights in late June, nice little hotel, the staff are great especially Milos that works the reception at night, he was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels everyday. We were able to get sun-beds most days without needing to get up too early. Our room had a great sea view overlooking the alacarte restaurant. We stayed half board and the food was ok, both breakfast and evening meals are buffet with one free visit to the alacarte, the evening meals are a different theme each night, I liked the Italian and BBQ nights, but other nights lacked beef and lamb dishes which I prefer, and I disliked like the sausage and bacon on the breakfast. The location of the hotel is in a quiet area with some bars and restaurants within walking distance. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend for 40+ couples.

I booked this holiday for my girlfriend's 21st birthday celebration and it was exceptional. The hotel is situated perfectly in a quiet, relaxing area with various shops and restaurants in walking distance. The best part about the hotel is the staff. They are absolutely lovely, very calming, attentive and always wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Also, the pool area, accommodation and quality of food are all to a high standard. Professional, clean and elegant. We'd 100% recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay to get away from all of the stresses that life can bring. Thank you again Maya Beach! Fantastic hotel for a great chilled out relaxing holiday. Everywhere is so clean. Everyone so friendly and so helpful. Nothing is too much. Definitely coming back and would 100% recommend this Hotel. It's run by a wonderful friendly family. Special thanks to Babbis such a pleasant .friendly and understanding man.

This was our first trip to Crete. I would say the hotel is a low 4* Food very good. Staff very good. Not enough sunbeds for the amount of people. Although it says you will be fined €10 per day if you reserve your sunbed this is not the case. Poor location of our room, no where to sit and and relax whilst getting ready. Location of the hotel was within a strip rather than a nice village/town with a harbour. Although it’s on the beach, it’s not accessible, there’s a small beach further away but not very scenic. Unfortunately will not be retuning.

Have just had two wonderful weeks at the Enorme Maya Beach Hotel. This is such an amazing place and perfect for a chilled holiday. The staff are friendly, happy and very helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms and a beautiful swimming pool. It is situated in a lovely area and not far from the beach. The Island Taverna is about 10 minutes walk, and well worth a visit. A big thank you to Hays Travel in Ferndown fir recommending this fabulous place 😁xx

Katerina gave the most amazing, back, shoulders and neck massage. Time flew by as it was so relaxing. My back feels miles better after the massage. Katerina is very friendly and makes you feel at ease straight away. Would absolutely get another treatment with Katerina
