Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Forney by IHG

We arrived to our room and the mini fridge was full of old food from a previous guest. The door was hard to lock. The floors were not clean. The next morning after slamming the door, it looked but when we returned that night it was not only unlocked, but hanging open. Nasty food still in the fridge. No clean towels or room cleaned, so why was the door opened? Not a pleasant experience.

Reserved a King, was told none were available and only 2 queens were available. Elevator was broken, room felt outdated. Front desk was sitting in the back when I arrived, didn’t come out even after ringing the bell. Sat for 2 or 3 minutes waiting for him.

We booked 3 rooms 1 week in advance and when we arrived at 6pm, we were told the elevators aren’t operational and the only rooms they have available are on the 4th floor. The front desk staff spoke very little English and said we can go somewhere else. Everything around the area was booked. I asked if there was a manager on site , we were told manager will come in the next day (Saturday). We stayed the night, the hotel was dirty to say the least, and when Saturday came, another receptionist working the day shift said the manager isn’t here on the weekends and the hotel elevators haven’t been working in over 1 week. The working staff parks behind your car to do laundry and we couldn’t get out. The halls had trash everywhere. The exit doors weren’t operational. The pool was green. Housekeeping didn’t clean our rooms our give us towels. The 2 nights we stayed were horrible… please find another hotel and don’t waste your time or money.

Pool closed, not running, dirty. Elevator broken. Mix up with check in. Told to go to another hotel. Billing issue. Lobby restroom nasty. Phone not working in room. AC not working. Lazy staff.

Our recent stay at this property was significantly impacted by a multitude of maintenance and equipment failures. We encountered both elevators being out of service, a closed fitness center and laundry room, and a disturbingly unmanaged pool (photos attached). The complete loss of power in our room one evening further highlighted the apparent neglect. While we appreciated the politeness of the staff and the quality of the breakfast, these positives were overshadowed by the pervasive maintenance issues. We have since canceled a future reservation and strongly recommend potential guests consider these significant problems before booking. It appears there are systemic issues that require the attention of IHG Corporate.

Remote to tv didn’t work. Laundry facilities not working. Door to room did not lock. Repaired. Poor water pressure. No ice machine only one elevator was working and barely worked. I had a disabled son with me and prayed every time I had to use elevator. I ended up leaving a day earlier. Had a great stay in October 2024 that’s why I chose this location. Never again

There is a different smell when you walk in. The elevators don’t work and the only one that works makes all kind of scary noises. The water pressure is really low.

I like that it was close to a lot of restaurants and gas stations.
