The Sherwood Palm Hotel, Torquay Beach

Booked for 3 nights only stayed 2. No WiFi, no dining, stained pillows, unkempt and unsafe corridors.

Awful property, somebody had been in and used the toilet while me and my partner were out and just not even flushed it, one of her items of clothing have gone missing from out of the room also, in a close area to the beach but on the whole the place needs closing down.

Did not even sleep here at the end. Wood is rotten through l, window laches fell off. Lock on the door fell off room was unsure. Smell of mold.

Tried in vain to contact hotel to advise late arrival ignored emails when we did eventually get through on phone apparently no English was understood which seemed pointless so we missed booking in also when we went for 2nd day of stay we were told our room had been re sold and they had no room for us. Still they did not respond to the numerous emails sent the day before

No WiFi as advertised

It was shut when we go there so had to find somewhere else to stay.

Hotel was CLOSED

I have arrived at the hotel I have booked Expedia travel confirmation - Fri, 9 Feb. - (Itinerary # 7265487521140) The Sherwood Palm Hotel, Torquay BeachBelgrave Rd, 1, Torquay, and the hotel is closed to the public, I have paid for this booking and it has come out of my bank account and I am not able to get into the hotel they have turned me away. I am so angry, I want a refund of my £106.37 and compensation for the mistake you have make, I made this booking in September last year and no one had contacted me to say the hotel would be closed and no refund given and no one to tell me I would need to find another hotel

the room was so bad. the light was hanging off the toilet seat was loss there where holes in the wall window was smashed there was dust on wardrobe. the wardrobe door was hanging off the shelf was broken on the wardrode and bathroom shelf above the skin was hanging down the fire alarm went off at 3am for no reason partner went to see if everything wad ok and the manger was rude to her and said just it a fault in the system just go back bed will never stay here again.

No breakfast option or bar. My room didn't have a TV remote. Staff were friendly but when I noticed the issues I couldn't find anyone as it was late.
