Butterfly Mountain Lake Side

A great view that you could look over the lake and see Adam's peak. The food in the restaurant was cheap and tasty with a lot of variety.

There was no AC but that didn't matter for when we were there. The beds are a bit uncomfortable but generally fine. The power kept tripping when all three rooms were using the showers.

The location offered a breathtaking view of the Maussakale reservoir. The staff were extremely helpful. Mr. Jayantha made our stay exceptionally special, making us feel right at home.

Wow, what a perfect stay! The manager was extremely caring and kind. He arranged accommodation for our driver and even provided my mother, who has mobility issues, with a lower room. He provided us with very useful information about the location and the possibilities for trips in the area, which are many. We had problems with leeches in the tea fields and he provided us with bottles of salt water to attract the leeches. The rooms were really clean, no need for air conditioning and the wifi worked well. We welcomed that there is good drinking water here. The view from the terrace is fascinating and very relaxing. The breakfast was excellent and the portions were really big. Dinner also ok. The shrimp provided (pictured) was a highlight. Thank you for everything, Butterfly Mountain Lake Side. Very friendly host.He would help with local planning,trips and tips..There are at least 4 tea lplantations nearby,one of them allows visitors it is Dunkeld tea factory..The highlight is Gartmore waterfall where You can swim at the very top of the fall. Easy ride by tuktuk.

Missing table at the terace

The location is easily accessible from the main road and parking is available. The view is exceptionally beautiful. The family room we booked is spacious, clean and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed and host and the staff were friendly and helpfull and did the maximum to make our stay enjoyable.Surely they know what they are to do. Meals were delicious. The hospitality we received is best. Definitely worth the money spent. Would visit again.

Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Despite initially being assured that the breakfast served was Halal, we were dismayed to find out upon arrival that the sausages were not Halal. This was deeply disappointing and caused inconvenience for us as we were unable to consume the food provided. Furthermore, the cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. It was evident that the housekeeping staff had not properly cleaned the rooms before our arrival. The reused bed sheets were visibly unwashed, and the room had a stale smell, indicating inadequate cleaning practices. It was disheartening to see that the hotel staff seemed to prioritize efficiency over cleanliness, leading to an uncomfortable stay for us and our children. Overall, our experience at this place was marred by these issues, and it greatly affected our enjoyment of our vacation. We hope that the hotel management takes our feedback seriously and implements necessary improvements to ensure a more pleasant stay for future guests.

We had a great 3 night stay at Butterfly Mountian Lake Side. The deck was great and the food and hospitality was over the top. Great service, nice meals and friendly staff.

Wifi was a bit slow, but we also stayed over a holiday and so it may have been that a lot of people were on the internet in general in town.
