SpringHill Suites by Marriott New York JFK Airport/Jamaica

The bathroom shower was not clean.

DO NOT, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT MAKe A RESERVATION HERE!!! I had book a reservation here truly because it was close to the airport and we had a 24 hour layover in NYC. After flying internationally, my husband started to have excruciating pain so we decided to cancel our reservation and instead make our long drive home so he can receive medical attention. When we called, we were told that we had u til last week to make any changes to our reservation and we could cancel but there would be no refund (not even credit). Absolutely no customer service. No empathy at all. Just $250 for absolutely nothing gone to this hotel. We can’t plan for things to happen in life. We were definitely looking forward to our stay but now never again will we stay with Marriot. I’m appalled by how horrible their customer service was when trying to cancel/reschedule.

Excellent! Super comfortable beds, helpful staff, breakfast is great, clean, quiet, I didn't hear anything lol, we enjoyed our stay! Thank you.

The bonvoy app says jfk shuttle 24/7. But it only runs every hour ( which is ridiculous ) and it’s always full. So I booked this because of the shuttle. I waited 45 mins for pickup. Then at 1 am stood in a huge line to check in because they couldn’t manage to make a mobile key. The shuttle the next day was full so I had to take a Lyft. When I complained they told me the shuttles was not 24/7 like Marriott says it is In addition the breakfast was way overcrowded. They way out of food napkins and seats. The room was nice. A little loud ( and I was on the end) and it got cool which is important to me

Hotel was clean, staff friendly, parking garage was weird. We took the car down and a person was supposed to open door for us but no one did and we couldn’t get in so hd to drag all bags back up the whole ramp back to the front street entry door…with my child asleep. Was not cool. The guy said oh sorry he was supposed to open for you

Good place

For a new property, there were surprising things that didn’t work in my room - one of the light switches, several of the outlets were plugged (could not plug anything into them). I liked the room layout and planning. There was tremendous street noise all night and construction noise in the morning. Surrounding neighborhood is dirty and unsafe compared to others I have experienced around the world.

Excellent front end staff! Shuttle service, breakfast, room all were excellent. Location was a plus!
