Wild Coast Sun

Check-in was a disaster. We were waiting forever to be helped and the people checking us in was not very friendly. It as a straight-forward booking and I have even paid the entire invoice before arriving but still it was a mess and a hell of a long wait to get our room key. Also we arrived after the check-in times started but still had to stand and wait in order for them to first ensure that our room was even ready. I would expect that if you arrive after the requested time the room must be ready and your customer must not be standing around in the foyer to wait to see if the room is ready.

It was good family time. The staff were friendly and there were lots of fun activities.

Relaxing weekend getaway..thoroughly enjoyed by us as a family

Stay was comfortable and relaxing. A bit of inconvenience with one elevator out of order - causing long waits.Also, presence of ants on the dressing / tea table made tea / chocolate placing difficult. Otherwise, pleasant.

The Hotel is in a beautiful location and is clean. Pool area was very relaxing and enjoyed the atmosphere outside. Lovely view from the pool area to the beach.The issue was no waiters to serve drinks around the pool area. Pillows and eiderdown very uncomfortable. Could not use the bath tub as the fitting was not secure to keep the water in the tub...water was draining out.There was nothing much that one could do in the evenings. No entertainment. Club only opened on a Saturday, why not on a Friday which is the start of a weekend. I have teenage daughters and for us adults there is no entertainment. Not everyone enjoy the casino life. Pubs were closed. There should be some other entertainment for the guests to enjoy in the evening. Live band or some other form of entertainment. Only 3 take aways. We were very disappointed with Wild curries as their food is only served extremely hot. No choice of a mild curry for children who also enjoy a bunny chow. No Milky lane or a place where the kids and adults could enjoy an ice cream. We don't eat pork and don't eat beef but nobody told us that Wild Coast do serve lamb sausages as well. We had to see in someone else plate and ask the chef. The chef advised that the waiters should have mentioned it. There was not much variety of fruits. No chicken cold meat... no smoked salmon because we don't eat pork and beef. No room service. TV channels only come on from a certain time. Only few channels are open. I found that ridiculous. Sle

The pool areas need to be cleaned/washed - bird droppings. The pool needs to be resurfaced , algae was noticeable. Breakfast at Chico's has "crumbled" and service can be improved upon.

Its a great family holiday... a bit if revamping would be awesome in terms of aesthetics... but its a fabulous holiday with fabulous beach

What an awesome stay, weather was great and kids had a fantastic time.Take some time out to visit the 'Riverside bar' great tube rides for the kids and some cool cocktails.

Maintenance at the resort was poor. Hotel pool and infant pool was green. Queues to wait for breakfast was disappointing. Service levels were shocking.

Good facilities present but the lackadaisical staff, slow checkin and missing/non functional items in room spoil the hotel
