The Last Hotel

Amazing staff

It was a great location for visiting The City Museum. Our room was not ready at check in time and we had to wait an extra hour. They did comp valet parking though. The kids enjoyed the rooftop pool.

Our stay was great but room was very noisy from street and interior.

My stay was okay. The room was nice and the staff was nice as well but there was a problem. My room was not cleaned after our first nights stay. Although I made housekeeping and front desk aware that I wanted my room cleaned. So I not only had to make up my own bed but didn’t get any new towels.

My husband and I had stayed here once before for one night while on a road trip. Although we were not super happy with our room last time (odd smell), we decided to come back because the rooftop pool and bar were great, as was the downstairs bar and restaurant. We wanted to stay here to be able to relax by the pool for our one evening there, and have some good food and drinks without having to get out into the city as we had been driving all day. Upon check in we were informed that the pool was closed, and were both hotel bars and the restaurant. NO pool, NO food or drink options whatsoever. That was the entire reason we chose to stay here, and created a huge inconvenience for us to then have to leave the hotel to go find dinner somewhere, when all we wanted to do was relax before getting back on the road the next morning. Additionally, the room was filthy. Huge clumps of dark hair all over the bathroom including stuck to the shower wall and all over the floor, as well as dark hairs in the sheets and comforter. If I had realized this before we were forced to leave for dinner and then return to the room late, we would have asked for a refund and gone somewhere else. I feel that the advertising for this place was a complete scam, as if the hotel chose to close down ALL of its advertised services they should clearly state that so people are not lied to when they book and pay for a hotel expecting one thing and getting another. Could not be more disappointed with the stay here.

Nothing was open! No restaurant, no pool bar, and no lobby bar!!! All these great pictures on the website and then you check in to find out none of them are open. Very disappointing!!!

We went to check in. We were early and they said our room was not ready. So we went to the museum next-door came back a couple hours later the room was still not ready, although there was not another person in the hotel lobby or on the street. It was like St. Louis was a ghost town. We sat in the lobby for a while which was very dirty. The tables are dusty, the furniture is dusty and the lobby bar was closed. The area around the hotel does not feel safe to walk around. We ended up making the decision to just leave and find a different hotel in a different area.

The hotel looked nice, inside and out. Unfortunately they were totally understaffed. The rooftop bar and restaurants and lounge bar all were closed. That made the huge area very empty instead of a fun place to hang out or have a meal. The second day the room wasn’t cleaned when we came back. When I let the frontdesk now that housekeeping hadn’t done anything they said that I should’ve especially requested housekeeping and that everyone was already gone home for the day.

The hotel was beautiful at first glance but up close there were some not great elements. There was hair in my shower and it wasn’t cleaned very well. The hotel bar and restaurant were closed for the entire duration of my stay but it was close to so much and all the staff was very friendly and inviting. Overall decent stay if the cleanliness was better.
