"A lovely, quaint and affordable place to stay that is close the airport and offers access to several pubs in the area."

Quaint hotel over a restaurant-pub only a 12 km drive from the airport. The food at the restaurant was great. Ian and his family run a welcoming establishment. He really helped me out of a jam when my rental car broke down.

The only negative was there was no elevator and the only access to the room was from an outdoor staircase. There is also no front desk to access supports, but Ian answered my calls quickly when we needed to check out. He was super friendly and kind.

It was a little compact, which would have made it more difficult for 2 people, however it was fine as it was just me!

We had the best time here at Torfin as a last day of our trip in Scotland. The rooms were very nice and super comfy - amazing shower! The staff so helpful and friendly. The pub below was an incredible convenience! The food is probably the best pub food we had in Edinburgh, amazing service and could stay for hours! Conveniently only 10min drive to the airport!

An overnight stay for an early morning check in at Edinburgh Airport with airport bus stop a 5 minute walk away. Staff very nice. Had an issue with bathroom door but taken on board by staff and rectified very quickly. Would stay again.

"Hotel Review: Not 3 star - likely 2 star hotel"

Pros: nearby to airport (10 mins), good restaurant, nice shower Cons: noisy (above a bar and right on busy street), small room The area around the Inn/bar is not fancy, not much to see that is walkable. We were on the end of our 2 week trip, so wanted something out of the city center and was easy to get to the airport for an early morning flight. The reception is with the bartender and not one is there before 10am, so you just leave your key in the room when you leave. The hotel is rated a 3 star -- really is a 2 to me. Nice people and the restaurant was fine -- just didn't get any sleep due to bar and road noise, which a 3 star would not have....
