Dream Stays Bath - Beau Street Apartments

The location is exceptional. It's close to groceries and shopping stores. The flats in the building are managed by the Harington's Hotel, which is located not too far from this apartment. We could drop off our luggage there for free. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the household items were well provided. I also really like the decorations! The heating system is also great making us warm during the wintertime.

Location

The layout was not as the picture. There was not a sofa bed. There was a fold out chair bed which was like sleeping on a board with a bit of foam on top. It was very cold in the back bedroom. The back of the bathroom door was dirty with dust and water marks. The plug of the hairdryer came out of the socket when used with the mirror in the double bedroom. The ironing board was a table top board which kept on collapsing at the one end when used.

We were provided the codes to enter the apartment around 14:30, half an hour prior to checkin via WhatsApp. The location is fabulous. Walk in shower was good however the water from the shower was luke warm. Adequately sized kitchen with washer dryer under the bench. Stove was good to boil water in

The tiny and smelly staircase (cross between musky and toilet airfreshener) leading to the first floor where the apartment was located. It can be challenging getting big suitcases up to the apartment. Shower was lukewarm No place to plug in the hair dryer in the bathroom which seems standard in the UK? Central heating is good but only for 2 hrs at a time so it was cold at night The kettle was disgusting and covered in limescale and totally unusable. The back of the apartment faces the back of the “lamb and lion” pub and the back of cafe Nero, on a Saturday night he pub can get quite noisy Internet is atrociously slow - WIFI 5.46 to 5.9 Mbps download and 0.37 to 0.81 Mbps upload Bed was soft and the single bed was a child sized bed. Only one luggage rack for a 2 bedroom apartment!

Nice and warm 2 bedroom apartment. Right in center and there are plenty of restaurant within minutes.

Right on the top floor and small stairs up. Might not be convenient for people with mobility.

We were told the apartment was ready via text at 2;30 we arrived at 3.00, The place was filthy, there was wet dirty towels from previous guests in the bathroom, bathroom not clean bin full, hairs in shower, bed had no bed linen, kitchen was filthy, washing machine full, bin full of rubbish, coffee machine didn’t work and old coffee under the machine, cupboard doors smeary , sides not been cleaned, dirty oven pan left on hob, place looked like it had not been touched since previous guests left, tried calling lots - answer phone each time then eventually made contact and they cleaned to a certain extent (still items in toilet bin, old capsules in coffee machine, smeary cupboards)and we were able to return at 6pm - ruined our stay, had to cancel dinner booking as didn’t have time - also quite a lot of noise from upstairs apartment es-ecially in the morning - emailed three times after we return to complain - all emails up to now have been ignored(3 days after stay) - I would avoid at all costs

Apart from the on line check in system, ( that after a phone call I was told that it wasn't really necessary) everything went very smoothly. we entered Flat 1 and were very pleasantly surprised, The apartment was spotlessly clean, the bedding in each bedroom was freshly laundered and the Beds were so comfortable, best nights sleep I've had for a long time. The whole apartment far exceeded the photographs and it was supplied with almost everything you could wish for. The location was terrific and everything was within easy walking distance. Parking was no problem for me as I am disabled and used the parking bays a short distance from the apartment, although having said that there are plenty of car parks again within easy walking distance. We only stayed for the one night we had travelled down from Oxford to attend my Grand daughters graduation. but I hope that we can come back soon there is so much to see, and I know there is no better location. The on line check in system if it is really not needed ! the system seems very involved and is very unforgiving. and I didn't like the fact that I had to return home after 1 night.!!!

Lovely and spacious apartment in great location in city centre. Comfortable beds and shower facility

Could use with some over gloves

Smell from bathroom, cured by running water down the trap. Pillow was a it too soft for me, would have preferred a choice, very minor grumble.
