Courtyard Akron Fairlawn

This hotel is far below Marriott standards. No one at reception when we arrived, musty room with damp carpet, loud/old AC, soap dispenser ripped out of the shower wall, no hair dryer in room (and when I went to reception to get one, took someone over 15 minutes to find one), no daily service - which isn’t highly unusual these days - but they didn’t tell us nor post that info. So we returned to our wet towels still piled on the bathroom floor. Virtually no service, and not a clean property. Read the Google reviews - we wish we had.

Bed and bedding were SUPER comfortable! Shower is a good size and towels were fairly soft. The hotel was quiet and comfortable; it's smaller than some other hotels, which means you won't have to walk far no matter where your room is. I listed a preference for proximity to the elevator and they placed our room right next to it! Seems like they were similarly attentive to spacing out the occupied rooms so people did not have noisy neighbors. Unfortunately, the satellite TV could only get 2 or 3 channels, the shower leaked quite a lot around the door, and one of the bedside outlets was dead. There is no morning coffee in the lobby and coffee packs in the room are decaf only. These minor negatives would NOT prevent me from coming back, however. Overall, It was a good stay.

No bodyeash on the bottle. Shampoo and conditioner were mixed up. Not even1 small bar of soap. No fridge, looks like it was remove and never replaced.

The rooms were comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was the floor of the bathroom seemed like it was waxed, so it was very slippery. Otherwise, the place was great. It was quiet, comfortable, clean and I felt safe. The breakfast bar was nice. All of the staff that I talked with were friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Terrible one night stay. We were supposed to have a king but they gave us a Queen that was most uncomfortable . The TV was not working. The bathroom smelled of smoke. I thought the property was non smoking? Will never stay at this property again.

I was really disappointed with this property!! It is not what I expected at a Marriott property! I will not stay here again until things change!! Big disappointment!! It didn’t feel clean!!

It was noisy outside of the hotel, people in parking lot walking through. A lot of sirens and car sounds.

Please update the bathroom. Very small and tight with a tiny bathtub. Shower curtain was not helpful at all; water sprayed all over the floor which made it very slippery. Tiny vanity. Carpet was dirty; one drawer was broken and would not open. There was trash on the bottom shelf of the nightstand. Upside was the bed was not uncomfortable and the blackout curtains were good. Pillows were small and lumpy. Front desk staff was nice but someone allowed their child to sit at the front desk while people were coming in which seemed odd.
