Courtyard Akron Fairlawn

Mold in bathroom. Rusted door frame in bathroom. Stain on couch that grossed us out. No breakfast. Room was crowded because of a goofy curved couch and humongous ottoman. Wouldn’t stay there again.

Needs updating and cleaning. The ceiling was leaking in the lobby- right in front of the television. The shower had mold. The toiletry bottles were empty.

Hotel cafe not operating. Drawers in bureau stuck. Front desk apologized for issues said hotel getting new owners. Bathroom very small and shower old and didn’t appear very clean. Overall feels old and musty. Totally unexpected for a courtyard Marriott

The bistro was not open at the times stated

The room had a. Very gross smell to it

rooms were dirty. Carpets turned my white socks black. You had to request for room cleaning. No shower gel in the shower. The TV didn't work. The refridgerator was set up to run 2 hours on 8 hours off. Nothing good to say other than the staff tried their best but don't have the tools to turn this place around.

I travel frequently for business and generally stay at Marriott properties. Courtyards are my go to because they have the things that I appreciate, the bistro, reasonable house cleaning services, they’re generally clean and have a fitness center that is usable. This location doesn’t live up to Marriott standard. On the plus side, the air conditioner works properly and the shower is nice. On the negative side, my room appeared clean. I made the mistake of walking around barefoot, when I got in the shower I left muddy footprints. No housekeeping available during the week. I stayed here four days. That also means no in room coffee refill, for example. The bistro has very little food, many of the items on the menu are not available because “our truck didn’t come in” or some other ridiculous excuse. The fitness Center has a few dumbbells, a recumbent bicycle that doesn’t work properly and an elliptical. I definitely will not stay here again.

The rooms are nice sized, but they do very little to cancel out noise. It sounded like we had a baby elephant on a treadmill in the room above ours. Our room had a non-working French door that had a gap at the top on one side of a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch. Even with the shower curtain pulled to the front end, water poured onto the floor requiring a bath towel to try to dry it up. The room as a whole really needed some kind of dehumidifier stronger than the wall air conditioner could provide. Clothes felt damp even coming out of the drawers. The pool was clean, but the room was hot and humid enough that it made it uncomfortable for older people. Finally, there is no free breakfast. They have an area that serves breakfast, but at highly inflated prices. I checked on the price of a small cup of fruit loops for the 4 year old. How bout $7.50?! Unless you are on an expense account, there is a Bob Evan's that you can see when you go back into the hotel.
