Haya Guest House

Nice welcome from the host/owner. Guest house well located in west Birmingham and very good value. Everything very clean and tidy. Excellent shared bathroom. Off-street parking good.

Did not like my room decor in grey & silver ! Not an ensuite, so used shared bathroom

Haya provided everything necessary for a good breakfast both days. Location was easy to find. Some fireworks in the distance both evenings (not really a problem), but the house seemed quiet otherwise. Had help carrying my bags up and down stairs. Had interesting conversations with my hostess each morning. The house had character, and my privacy was respected. MY room and bed were clean and comfortable and other facilities available were adequate for my needs. Nice to have no unnecessary restrictions.

Would have like a plastic beaker for toothbrushing and a small hand-towel for use in the bathroom. Also a little bit embarrassing to have to ask for more toilet roll. There was no full-length mirror in the room, and none in which I could see my face, because the others were placed so high up ! Would have appreciated a napkin or paper serviette on the breakfast table. Key locks to my room and the front door were a bit tricky. Thankful that I brought my own non - slip bath/shower - mat, because the slippery shower floor was definitely risky for me. That beautiful big bath ( which was a main reason for my choice of Haya Guest House, and I'd really been looking forward to using ) was out of action.

La ubicación muy buena ya que íbamos a una competición en una piscina que estaba a 15 minutos caminando.

Lo que no estuvo bien fue que teníamos la reserva confirmada y pagada meses antes para 3 personas, y 4 días antes de la fecha nos dicen que no tienen ya alojamiento para 3, que uno de los 3 tiene que ir a otro alojamiento. Esto supuso un gran estrés y la incomodidad de estar el grupo separados los 4 días. Esto NO puede ocurrir y por eso la valoración no es buena, no repetiríamos.

Breakfast could have offered ideally for me an a English Breakfast, eggs bacon,sausage,tomato...with toast

i was unable to stay because of a problem at the property at minute. The owner was incredibly helpful in finding me somewhere else to stay and solving me the issue of having to do it myself last minute. Solved an issue when I had no knowledge of the area.

I needed somewhere to stay for the night so I could continue my journey to Stoke. Considering it was a last-minute booking, the price was decent compared to hotels. The host was really friendly. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay the night because I had an emergency to attend to. She was genuinely worried and wished me a safe journey. Very warm and friendly. I also appreciated the vintage style of the home.

I’m not a smoker, so the smell of smoke was the first thing I noticed when I walked in. I couldn’t smell any smoke in my room; it was mainly in the corridors.

I loved both the bedroom and bathroom; they were spacious and spotless. The bathroom was huge and beautiful, with an amazing bath and a powerful shower. The bedroom was charming, featuring a large TV, kettle, microwave, and heating. Zahra was also an excellent host.

There was nothing to dislike.
