Quality Inn Pittsburgh Airport

Lovely room with sweet soft mattresses. Same for the breakfast. I gave the overall as 4 star because I was provided with double size beds without a couch for the 5th person. My booking was for 5, 2 queen size beds and a sleeping couch as per picture and details shown at the time of reservation booking.

The absolute worst hotel ever. The room smelled like smoke and marijuana. The blanket had huge burn marks. We wanted a different room or a refund and the man on duty said he couldn't help us. Stay at your own risk!!

We arrived at our first room only to be in a room next to people smoking marijuana. The room was absolutely horrible. Dirty sink and shower and smelled of mildew. They moved us to another just below the other room and it smelled just as bad, slightly damp and mildew smell. I literally sat in my car until I couldn’t stand it anymore. I couldn’t wait to get out of there 🤮

It was our second time staying here, but it will be the last. Upon arrival, the bathroom smelled like urine. We had to clean it with bleach to change the smell. The bed only had a fitted sheet on the mattress, which is not hygienic. The walls are paper-thin — we could hear the neighbors in their intimate moments. Breakfast is decent. The main strength is the location, but there are many other hotels in the area. Yes, we paid less, but there is a minimum standard of cleanliness that should be met for showering and sleeping.

The best thing about this hotel is the car park exit. The staff were rude when I telephoned from the UK to ask whether they could cater for Dairy-Free at breakfast as our grandchildren have an allergy to Dairy products. The woman who answered the phone laughed at me and said we needed to bring our own. When I reminded her that we were arriving late at night on a long-haul flight from the UK, she replied, "So! That's not our problem, you'll just have to go to a store and get your own. " Needless to say, we had to keep our reservation as we could not cancel and get our money back. We would have ended up losing $200 for the 2x rooms. N.B. The reason I had to telephone the hotel was because they failed to respond to about a dozen emails and messages sent via Booking.com. When we eventually arrived after midnight and went to our rooms, the cartets appeared dirty because they were. They were sticky, too. One of our party took their shoes off, leaving just their white sports socks on, and walked from the door to the far side of the room. The soles of the socks became black from the grime in their carpet. In every room, wallpaper was peeling off, including the bathrooms. In the morning, we went to where the breakfast buffet was served. They did have vegetable based margarine but the bread could have contained milk so the grandchildren couldn't eat toast. They did have bacon and burger shaped sausage meat, so the grandchildren were able to eat something. One of our grandchildren mentioned that they enjoyed the bacon as we were allowing them to take 2 more rashers of bacon, immediately, one if the kitchen staff said out loud that there was no more bacon available. Bear in mind that this was just before 8am, and apparently, breakfast was served up until 9:30am and there weren't many guests.
