Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport South

Great area. Very clean. Great staff.

The breakfast was good and I didn't expect so much hot food, so that was good. I thought it was a simple continental breakfast. The people replenishing the food were professional and personable.

The person at the reception desk, who also served as the bartender when I was there on the evening of May 9th had an attitude. She was talking to people casually who were in the lobby and after waiting for five minutes or so, I called to her and she rolled her eyes as if I was disturbing her chat with the people in the lobby. She did not want to initially give me the happy hour price for my drink, even though I had been waiting before it ended and my watch said I still had a couple of minutes to go. The worse thing, is that I have allergy issues and had attended my niece's outside graduation, which caused my eyes to be red and she accused me of being drunk and said I didn't need another drink. I was highly offended by this and let her know that I had allergy issues and found her comments insulting. She did not apologize and her demeanor continued to be less than friendly as she served me.

Very good breakfast - eggs and yogurts fruit and every bread you could imagine. Good coffee. Family hotel from what I could see. Very popular. The bedroom was fantastic, huge room very comfy beds, we slept like babies after a long flight.

Power went out in our room while getting ready. I think we blew a fuse. We had to leave for the airport at 6. Maintenance wouldn’t get there until 8. Maintenance quit answering phone calls from the front desk about urgency of repair. I had to beg to use another room just to see/finish my makeup/dry my hair. We repacked and finished the morning by phone flashlight.

The location and customer service are very good! However, there needs to be counter space in the bathroom. Perhaps some rooms have that, but we were disappointed that there was nowhere to put a shaving kit or makeup case. Also, breakfast was subpar. This was the first Hyatt I've stayed at without oatmeal, and the scrambled eggs were cold. Many other items were not available when we arrived at 9:15 am for breakfast (which is supposed to be served until 9:30 am).

Nice hotel. Great staff and clean rooms. Breakfast included with a nice variety. AC in the room was loud, but overall facility was very nice and clean.

Our check in process was seamless and efficient. The clerk was amazing and resourceful with answering our questions. I was really in a bad way because our flight had been adjusted to leave on the next morning and I had no toiletries or a way to get around the city. She provided us some disposables and suggested a great place to eat. She was just more accomodating than she really had to be and I appreciated that in the moment. I can't remember her name, but she was a very pretty AA female.

There were no negatives on this stay! All my expectations were met. The room was clean. I did find a hair on the bed but I sprayed it with Lysol and went to bed. It was a long day!
