Good location, clean.

I booked two bedrooms with one king-size bed in each room. However, when I arrived at the property, I was informed that those rooms were not available. The staff told me that Booking.com always shows king-bed rooms as available on its website, even when they are not actually available at the property, and that there was nothing they could do about it. Since I was too tired to look for another place to stay, I accepted two rooms with full-size beds instead. However, this was not the accommodation I reserved and paid for. I specifically booked rooms with king-size beds, and the replacement rooms did not meet the terms of my reservation.

The bathroom had mold on the ceilings and wall, hair on the curtain. The tub leaked and the floor in the room felt wet around the entire room. Stains on the carpet and chair. Was afraid of what to touch and what to let my clean clothes and luggage come in contact with.

I arrived to check in approximately 6:30pm after being on the road for over 6 hours. To say the least I was exhausted, and had my two children with me as well. I was immediately asked for my ID by the woman behind the desk, named Sonya. She was not at all friendly or pleasant to start. She then proceeded to demand I pay a $100 deposit because "she charges locals a $100 deposit". I was never informed or notified of this policy during my booking, and told her I would not be paying a deposit in addition to paying the room cost I already had held from my bank. I told her to check my license because I am NOT local. I live over 4 hours away from this location. She then proceeded to tell me I needed to "lose my attitude". I did then raise my voice and demand to speak with her manager because she became extremely unprofessional and threatened to not let me stay there when I was not in the wrong. She claimed ahe was the manager. She stated she "knew a lot of places around the area and assumed I was local." I then told her she was in the wrong to assume a guest is a local and demanding money from them when there is no visible policy listed or noted in the lobby or during booking. She stated they charge locals $100 deposits because they are mostly drug addicts who leave a mess. These are direct quotes. Again, extremely unprofessional. And i feel illegal. I did choose to keep my stay because unfortunately that's what I was able to afford. My mother is local and ill, so it was a last minute visit to see her with her grandchildren. Being a Choice rewards member, I am disgusted by the events that took place during my interaction with her. Also, I found out she is NOT, in fact, the manager at all. I was told his name is Errol Carr. I want this hotel looked in to. I will be filing formal complaints with whomever necessary. The hotel is filthy and in terrible shape. The refrigerator and microwave in our room didn't work, there were no laundry bags, and no trash can bags....Truly basic stuff that I could have gotten at a cheaper establishment without the insulting behavior. That place should be completely shut down and redone from top to bottom. Choice rewards should be embarrassed to have them apart of their group.

Filthy from the front entrance throughout the lobby to the beverage stain my room door. Carpets were stained and smelled. Ants were crawling around the air conditioner which was broken and rusted. Refrigerator was rusted and dirty.Curtains did not close with parking lot lights beaming I like it was daylight. Breakfast bar was unappetizing with the one 4 slice toaster missing one lever. Cold cereal was available along with waffles. Two apples were bagged in a dirty bowl. Could Not recommend this location and will Not stay at this hotel my next trip through Beckley W. Virginia.

I can not recommend this hotel due to unclean appearance outside and inside lobby. Key card system was not working, thus causing a security asnd incovenience problem.
