If you book your room through a travel website, the hotel will argue with you and try to double charge you for the room you already paid for. Front desk and management is least worried about customer service and more about giving attitude.

Location and room was clean

No outside lighting when I arrived in the evening. Common areas were very dirty, lots of mud. The front desk always had trouble with check in. It took the clerk 29 attempts to make my key. Hair dryer in my room didn’t work so I had to go to the front desk with wet hair and changed rooms for my second night. Took 40 minutes to get another room. Common areas were still dirty. Front desk which is where you make your first impression—clerks need a uniform shirt or something that doesn’t make them look homeless. Night clerk and day clerk had no teeth.

The cleanliness in some of the common areas was disappointing, like the uncovered garbage cans in the hallway leading to the elevator.

Amber was a bright spot in a dreary world there.

Yuck. Dirty windows, crumbling sidewalk, gross bath tub. Breakfast seemed good until I saw the ants crawling over the brown sugar, cranberries, and nuts for oatmeal. Why did we stay there? Because I made the mistake of booking with booking.com and it would have cost me more to cancel. Plus I didn't get response to cancellation. And we were tired and hungry and just wanted to sleep. One good thing was- sheets seemed clean.
