Quality Inn & Suites New Castle

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was hot and the TV had a nice selection of channels including ESPN. I had oatmeal and a banana for breakfast which was fine. The hotel was very quiet and mostly empty. There is a sauna and work out room which was functional. The price was half of the price of the Holiday Inn or Hampton. We were in town for a family event and only slept there so it was fine for us. There was a fridge and microwave which was very useful.

The lobby and hallways need some upgrades. The hallway carpets need cleaning or new carpet. The rooms were worn but nicer then the public areas. The lobby had some questionable people and we could not tell if they were employees or maybe people with rooms there or people just keeping warm. It was a strange lobby vibe but we just walked to our room. I would not stay there as a woman alone. The biggest issue was the perfume smell that was everywhere. The lobby and hallways were a very high smell level on the perfume/deodorizer of some kind. Our room was very strong smelling the first night but then the smell went away because we did not order any room cleaning. Maybe they spray the carpets or they have a larger device spraying into the hall heating units.

The sheet continuously came off the mattress the ENTIRE stay. Very disgusting. Very infuriating.

I stated two nights.. the first night was fine, second night i noticed multiple bugs crawling on the walls, doors and tv.. When checking out i called to bring it to the front desk personal attention her name was Tiffany and Tiffany stated it is warm inside cold outside and it’s expected to have bugs in the room and hung up the phone on me.

This place was a nice surprise. We found our room very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a good size as so was the room. Towels were plush and soft. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. Kudos to all of them.

We stayed for 3 nights and thought the breakfast could have been upgraded. Everyday it was the same. Hard boiled eggs would be a good addition and some healthy cereal. This would not keep us from staying there again though.

Super clean, even though it was an older property it was cared for very well. Beds are extra comfy.

Breakfast was good, new castle felt like a nice more remote area about 40 min from Pittsburgh which is where we spent the majority of our time outside the hotel.
