DoubleTree by Hilton Colorado Springs

Building is dated. Parking is a hodge podge & hotel is confusing. Rooms clean, staff friendly & nice breakfast & lounge area.

I enjoyed the stay at Hilton doulble tree nice big hotel rooms were very nice beds were were a well comfort staff were very freindly will be coming back next year

The location was great as we were going to Cheyenne Mountain zoo.

The A/C was set at 60 and it didn't get close to being cool in our room which we went there to get a good night sleep before visiting areas around. Was also disappointed with the breakfast experience as it was understaffed and took a long time to get waited on at 830am. It looked like there were only two servers. Also they had run out of nuts and things for the oatmeal and when I asked a lady who was a staff putting out dishes and caring for the area if they could refill it, she retorted " you will have to ask one of the servers to get that for you. I don't do that." which I thought was a little rude. I then asked the server about it and I waited for 10-15 minutes watching him go back and forth helping other people and i went back 2x checking to see if there had been a refill and not even an acknowledgment one way or the other and the original lady saw me keep checking to see and she finally came over and told me they were all out of nuts. So it took 2 staff who I had asked 10-15 minutes to get back to me that you were out of stock? That was not a great experience as our sleep and our breakfast are the most important part of our stay in a place.

This is a huge place with really nice bar, restaurant, fitness center, pool, hot tub etc. The staff are very friendly and want to make you happy. We sat at bar for MNF and had drintks and dinner. We will come back when through area again.

We had drinks and dinner at the bar, and could not of been more pleased. Bartender was very helpful, and put MNF games on for us. Rooms are nice and clean, and staff pleasant to work with. We will stop again sometime.

Great hotel overall. Bar was great. Hot tub and pool was spacious. Water fountain outside wasn’t working while there though.

Staff all around was amazing especially Ana. The room upon arrival was pretty dirty. We had other peoples hair in the bed, pillow cases stank, and the shower also had other peoples hair in it as well. Room selection was pretty terrible as well with the carpet being nasty feeling and the interstate being right there. Regardless of what we tried we could hear traffic all night so barely slept each night. Only reason we didn’t cancel is because double tree doesn’t do refunds. Otherwise I would recommend staying elsewhere. Sorry.

Comfortable and nice room

I usually have a good experience at DoubleTree Hotels. Unfortunately that was not the case this time. We were in Colorado Springs to honor fallen firefighters. And were staying for 2 nights. I booked a King Room. When we arrived I was given the room key and was recognized as a "Hilton Honors Member". However when we got to our room they had put us in a room with 2 double beds. I went back down to the front desk and was told I was bumped to a lesser room. They had overbooked and moved people around and Hilton Honors Members get preferred treatment. I said "I AM a Hilton Honors Member" the staff member said, "Oh, but you didn't book directly through Hilton, so we moved you." They also put us next to the elevator (so you can hear the elevator & everyone getting on and off the elevator). I asked for a room not near the elevator. The staff member told me she could move us, but we would have street view. That the room by the elevator at least had courtyard view. Look at the attached photo of the "courtyard view". STOP! No one tried to make any effort to give us what we paid for. The next morning I looked on their website and saw a King Room was available. I asked if we could be moved for our 2nd night and was again told that even though THEIR website showed an available King Bed....they again overbooked and I wasn't worthy enough to be moved to a King Room. I travel a lot and I will never stay at a DoubleTree again.
