Alexx was amazing and so helpful

For a basic room at 300-400 per night this hotel was, I’m sorry to say, disappointing. At check in the front desk was commiserating about the last guest who checked in and complained about their room. As soon as I got into mine I could understand why. It smelled like musty meets fabuloso. The room was very dated and tired. Lots of carpet stains. The redeeming factors were the location (right next to a beautiful beach) and the amenities on property. Nice to have a fitness center, meal options, bar, and pool. I don’t like leaving poor reviews, but I feel like this property needs some real TLC before it’ll justify the price.

I stayed here for my birthday with my family. Alex at front desk was very friendly and accommodating he made sure all of needs were met. Room was beautiful, very clean.

With Alex, everything here is a dream come true! His service, knowledge and professionalism makes it an ease to stay here. Haven’t had a problem staying here especially with him attending us. He doubled checked to make sure our little mini vacation was taken care off especially coming with my kids and wifey for her bday!! Xcellent service!! Thank you so much Alex for making this stay very special for us!!

The resort was rather average in our opinion. The buildings were in great need of upgrades with lots of stains on carpet, walls, etc. And customer service lacked in many places. Long lines developed at check in desk because they were under staffed and the staff they did have working were not working in an expeditious manner. Then it took hours to get AC fixed in a room, and in spite of letting the property know multiple times that we needed a feather free room due to allergies, it was not done and we had to oversee it being done as they weren't replacing the feather correctly. (Allowing prior sheets that had touched feather to stay for example - a clear violation of hypoallergenic practices.) The food was good but nothing comparable to what can be found downtown or on the wharf. The Spa (not operated by Hilton) was great. As for the Hilton, its location across from the beach and walking distance to downtown as well as a couple unique amenities like outdoor chess and firepits were the best part of the resort.

I stayed at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort this weekend and used the digital check-in, which was a game changer, especially when traveling with young children. Being able to skip the front desk and go straight to the room made arrival so much smoother and less stressful. The property itself is beautiful and very spread out, which gives it a relaxed, resort-style feel rather than a crowded hotel. There’s plenty of space for kids to move around, and the grounds are well maintained. Being so close to the beach and zoo was also a huge plus and made it easy to go back and forth without overthinking it. Cassie at the front desk was incredibly helpful throughout the weekend. At one point the digital key didn’t work, and she quickly helped me get physical key cards, which ended up being the smarter option since the digital key was a bit inconsistent throughout the weekend stay. Overall, the experience felt easy and enjoyable from the start. I’d definitely use digital check-in again for family travel, just with a backup plan like key cards.

Alexx was extremely helpful upon our arrival. His help alone made this a dream stay. Hotel is gorgeous and clean, with stunning views!
