Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort

Excellent location and the facilities were very nice. The staff were very helpful from beginning to end.

We would have preferred to have all four rooms closer together.

Nothing it was busy.

This was our first visit to the Hilton at the Beachfront. We drove up to the main lobby are, and at Registration, Julia, and at check out, Shaune, helped us and welcomed us. Our room large spacious, with 2 Queen beds, full bathroom, his and her sink areas. A beautiful ocean view and slider which opens to your private balcony/patio, great for quiet outdoor lounging. We dined at several locations, but we had a light breakfast at the Roundhouse, and the food and service was good. We stayed within the Azaelia Unit in a suite. We did not bring our furry children with us, but if we knew it was as nice as it is, we would have, and they would have really enjoyed it. The housekeeping staff was a little rude to my wife because we bothered her for some facial tissue when she was standing in front of our room with a clipboard. Apparently she was on her lunch break, but, we wouldn't have even bothered her at all if we knew she was on break That was the only negative experience for us and we consider that was something the management can deal with As for my wife and I, we can hardly wait to go back with our dogs. A truely great place, and well worth the cost. This location also honors Hilton Honors members.

Overall is an amazing location right next to the beach, any season this close to the beach is going to be an amazing experience especially during sunset and sunrise. Julie, who checked us in, was extremely helpful, very friendly and genuine. However the rooms are dated, with no current modern coffee makers such as a Keurig. In addition the walkability around the property is hurt by the lack of maintenance to the walkways and pathways, causing me to twist my ankle. There is damage to the stones or pavers as well as the pathways including near the charging station areas as well as Dahlia unit areas. See photos. This poor experience with the overall property condition dragged the overall star rating down considerably. The TV stand / refrigerator cabinet door did not close all the way, the room did not have any pen and paper, and the lampshades were tilted and had pencil marks on them. The front doors of each unit allowed light and air to pass visibly underneath also pictured. The outside of the back buildings have visible water intrusion and damage and potential structural impacts. There is mold or other stain on the concrete stucco exterior. It is a very moist and humid location because of the fog rolling in in the morning however it should be in better condition considering the cost of staying here. The pool looked clean as well as the jacuzzi. The central atrium in the check-in area has ample space for large and small groups meeting. The bar is well stocked with top shelf liquors and fresh fruit. The bartender was friendly and very nice and accommodating. Overall the front desk staff was amazing as well five stars with the staff. The scale tips the other direction to a 1 star experience though with the value for the room in terms of missing upgrades and dilapidated maintenance.

The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is in a great location directly across from the beach. The sprawling grounds are beautiful with a pool and jacuzzi.  Stearns Wharf and State street are about a20 to 30 minute walk from the hotel where there are many shops and restaurants.  The check-in process was very slow because there was only one check-in person. I finally asked if they could get another person to help us check in. As a Hilton Diamond member I asked if we could get a room upgrade and David told me the hotel was sold out. I showed him the Hilton website that clearly showed many rooms still available. I asked to speak to a manager and then David came back and miraculously there were more rooms that were available and we did get a better room. Not a great way to start our stay.  The pool is large and I wanted to go into the jacuzzi but it was always full of children.  We ate at the Roundhouse restaurant for breakfast which cost about $50 for two egg dishes and no drinks. The service was slow every morning because they were very understaffed.  I asked to get our room cleaned when we left around 11:30 am and when we returned in the late afternoon the room wasn’t cleaned. I spoke with Bootsie and she said she would get a hold of housekeeping and then our room was immediately cleaned and she helped us the following day getting our room cleaned. The Wifi was so slow it didn’t work in our room. The Verizon internet on my phone usually had one bar and it barely worked.  The Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort is a good choice for the right price but next time I would prefer to stay near State street.

Alexx was extraordinary in welcoming us and getting us settled. We decided to stay at the hotel for lunch and dinner because of his service and support. Alexx ensured we had everything we could ever want for our girls weekend. Our server at lunch, Oscar was like one of us. Would have invited him to have a seat and hang with us.

Our experience was elevated when Alexx gave us a room that fits our need near the pool and electric car charger. Alexx was friendly and suggested a few places to check out. Our kids had fun swimming on the pool………..::::.:::::::::::::::::::
