Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa

I don't have exceptionally high standards, but TPC Sawgrass Mariott managed to fail everyone of them. 1. The air conditioning barely worked, ran loud and continuously for the entirety of my stay. 2. The bedside tables are simple painted plywood tops with the paint peeling. 3. There is a cushion on the luggage bench, that is held in place by a rusty 2" length of steel angle, which is extremely dangerous. 4. The bathroom creates it's own biosphere with a wild mix of mold and other people's pubic hair. 5. The trimout in the bathroom was apparently built by someone wearing a blindfold. 6. There is a nasty water bottle filler in the corridor that I kept at least 5 feet distant. 7. Electrical boxes with exposed wiring in the common areas. I found the staff ambivalent to the conditions, as they do work in this filth everyday. It's a struggle to think of a worse hotel stay than this old, dilapidated property. The term, "putting lipstick on a pig" was invented for this particular hotel.

The use of the Cabana Club and the pools were nice. The staff was great except the bartender at the pool bar/restaurant was rude!

The bartender at the pool bar/restaurant was so rude. The fact that we spent $1300.00 and they charge $22.00/day for parking and breakfast is not included in your stay.

reading a lot of 1-star reviews, and most of those complaints were busted. Housekeeping, cleanliness, and staff were fine, and management handled our issue well. That said, the villas were bad — outdated and smelled like mold, clearly in need of renovation. We asked to move and were placed in the main hotel, which was clean, modern, and really nice.

Property has a lot of potential , very beautiful.

The property is super old. Beds are extremely small and uncomfortable. The whole place needs an update if they think people are going to spend $400 to stay there. I will not be back unless they renovate

First, I will rate my massage, it was exceptional as always, Murial is the absolute best(10/10)! That said, the rest of the experience did not meet expectations (2nd time in last few months). Last time the Steam room wasn’t working, this time the Hot tub in men’s locker room wasn’t working. It would be great if you would notify guests ahead of time so that they can alter plans if wanted. The men’s relaxation room had someone’s towel on n the lounge when I came in and was still there when I was finished with my massage. There were user washcloths in the shower stall as well. Simple adjustments would elevate the experience.
