Lanzones Cabana

The pool and garden area were great. The cabanas are very cute from the outside and surprisingly well-organized in the inside.

Cleaning could have been better, and it was very humid inside the room, to the point that our dry clothes became almost wet from just being there. We also wish there had been a water filling station available.

We booked a 7 person room with a combined kitchen area and bedroom. The bedroom had 5 beds, the remaining two was considerably narrower sofa beds in the kitchen area. The real star of the hotel is the long lap pool, anf all the areas to hang out around it. Much attention has gone into colorful garden decorations, and the whole place is really cosy. Plus with the "superior" room with up to 7 beds (of which 5 wide real beds and 2 rather narrow sofas) if you need to fit a lot of people on a budget this a good option. Walking distance to the boats to White Island sandbar is a great plus as well.

WiFi was really slow and sometimes gave up. Wall sockets for electricity was worn down and fiddly. The hotel does not process card payments with a regular card terminal, you have to give them your CVC and the way it is processed led my bank to block the transactions. My wife's card did work. I had no issues anywhere else in the Philippines with payments, cash withdrawal, and internet payments.

Hotel staff upon arrival were not welcoming, not smiling nor friendly, no information given to customers regarding the activities to do. So I had to go back to the reception to get a bit of information since they didn’t know what to advise to their guests. It seems like they do not want to be disturbed. Place a little far for to walk and get a tricycle or multicab especially if you have some suitcases. Luckily, I kept the contact number of the tricycle driver who drove us to the resort from the airport when we arrived. Fridge not even cleaned, a slice of tomato inside which means it has not been checked. Bathroom not very clean. Ants 🐜 on every bed, stained sheets (my brother decided to sleep at the living room instead when he saw that).

The pool was very nice and big (50m). Price for accommodation was appropriate. Receptionist (male) was very friendly, attentive and helpful.

The beds were not very clean unfortunately (had a lot of stains and were smelly). The water/shower and toilet flush in our room weren’t working, but were fixed quickly by the receptionist (male). The wifi didn‘t work in the rooms at all and barely in common areas, sometimes also not at all. Receptionist (female) upon check-in was not very friendly, apparently didn‘t even think a hello was necessary.
