Great location excellent food

Great atmosphere rooms were lovely had everything we needed lovely bathrooms host was friendly.

The food staff and comfy beds , what could you want and dog friendly on top of that.

Always exceptionally high standards

Room was quiet not really suitable for tall person as lean to roof. Bathroom was big surprise nice bath

The staff were great, and the food was delicious. The room (5) was fine and the bed very comfortable.

A few small details could have made it even better - for example a selection of herbal teas and also biscuits in the room and more shelf space in the bathroom especially near the bath. But these are minor points.

Visiting friends in the area, we stayed two nights, with a second room for one night. We were pleasantly greeted, recognised from an earlier exchange, and shown to our room. Nicola oversees a motivated staff with day long flair and good humour. The restaurant is large and very busy, the portions generous and of excellent value. This is a gem of a find and we shall definitely return when next visiting Norfolk.

The car park was full when we arrived, but this is due to the success of the Recruiting Sergeant and its engaging owners should be proud of what they have achieved. Alternative street parking was easily found.

Foos was delicious, room was comfortable.
