Number 82 The Unthank

Very nice, clean room and excellent location. I have already booked to return. The check in process was easy and communication was excellent.

A lovely apartment in an ideal location. We were attending a wedding at the cathedral which was less than a 10 minute walk. The only negative was that the shower gel and shampoo hadn't been refilled but luckily we had taken our own.

Had a great stay at 82 Unthank. Facilities were great and check in was so simple. Will definitely stay there again when visiting Norwich.

Despite being well located, the building has been outfitted with cheap fixtures, shoddily installed. Much clearly in need of redoing. No security on outside doors (broken). Manky condition of apartment with dirty (unflushed and stained) toilet, unsafe bathroom screen, unwashed crockery (really dirty) and cutlery, and broken appliances. I should have read TA first but was in a hurry. Won’t be back—the place is on a downward trajectory for maintenance, cleanliness and overall quality. BUT…comfy bed…and friendly ‘concierge’.

The apartment was a good size, had what was needed in it but just felt a bit run down. Cobwebs everywhere, dusty floors, ironing board falling apart, very uncomfortable pillows etc. safety issues too, no lighting at all between the carpark and entrance door 2 so in the dark it is pitch black and with a step that you can’t see. The entrance door did not close or lock and had seemingly been that way for a while as the socket where the lock should be was empty. I would not have felt comfortable or safe staying there alone. It’s a shame as you can tell it used to be lovely but it just seems like it needs a bit of extra attention. It was recommended to me by a colleague who stayed there a couple of years ago so I’m sure this was just a blip.

Booked Dragon Hall the mobility apartment for my elderly slightly disabled aunt and uncle for 6 nights. They were very happy and Louis concierge made sure they got what they needed.

Always a good experience when I stay at No 82. Very clean, easy parking, great location for food etc. Love the self service process of picking up the key. Would recommend to anyone that is staying in the area.

Location excellent. Room spacious and comfortable and clean. Bed excellent. Kitchen not used except for drinks but appeared to be good. POINTS: Outside: Lighting to Entrance 2 not working, so had to feel our way down a dark passage with steps, Entrance door did not shut/lock; Bedroom: One light bulb not working, one reading light controller knob missing and lights flickered if dimmed, inadequate number of wardrobe hangers, access hatches in wardrobe open or missing showing pipework; Bathroom: Shower cubicle and tray large and shower worked well, but tray slippery and no grab rails, no shelving for toiletries etc, glass holder hanging at an angle.

Although a great location and kitchen amenities, our stay experience was average at best. When we arrived, we received the booking information for two of the three rooms. Communicating with the staff was very difficult as they didn’t answer the phone and were not on the premises, they also did not go out of their way to amend the room mistake, or even ask. The rooms were also dusty and some of the amenities were broken. Nevertheless, the rooms were as described and the location, being in one of the main roads, is ideal.
